Notaro recalled their close friendship, saying at 51:00 timestamp, “Cheryl was one of my favorite friends to be ridiculous with. And we made each other laugh so hard.”
Notaro explained that she chose to step away from Hines when Cheryl’s husband, Robert F Kennedy Jr, began supporting Donald Trump. “When he was announcing his run, I just felt like I needed to step away,” she said.
She added that Kennedy’s beliefs, once minor irritations, started gaining more attention. “Because there are beliefs that were like a gnat on the arm years ago that were getting further into the spotlight.”

Notaro noted that her friendship with Hines started before she married Kennedy. “My friendship with Cheryl predated her marriage to Bobby. He was in environmental law. And again, other beliefs he had were like a gnat on my arm.”
She continued, “But then it started to grow, and Cheryl wanted me to hear Bobby out, and they had these good ideas. I was like, I can’t. I just didn’t trust it. And then he endorsed Trump, and then it just got hard.”
Tig Notaro expresses sadness over end of her friendship with Cheryl Hines

Tig, star of The Morning Show, fondly remembered, “It was fun to have to watch a documentary every week, but also we took the pressure off, because we would ask each other things like, 'Who are you attracted to in this documentary?’”
She expressed sadness over the change, saying, “It’s really sad, because it did bring me so much joy. And Cheryl did bring me so much joy.” She emphasized, "But that’s what I’m looking for, is I want to get back to prioritizing people that bring me joy and workloads that bring me joy.”

Cheryl Hines recently clashed with 'The View' host Sunny Hostin during a heated exchange about her husband Robert F Kennedy Jr’s qualifications to serve as Health Secretary.
Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show, Hines faced tough questions about Kennedy’s lack of a medical background.
Cheryl defended her husband, saying, “He has dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people's health. He was part of the team that sued Monsanto because of Roundup, a pesticide that was causing cancer. GMOs right? He sued Dupont, he sued Exxon, and he sued these companies for health reasons, because they were causing health problems.”
Sunny Hostin, 56, challenged his qualifications. “But the problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we've had in history,” she said.
Cheryl pushed back, insisting, “He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people's health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job.”
Sunny responded with criticism that drew applause from the audience. “He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion,” she said. “And I think it's just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect.”
