Tish Cyrus says she would be ‘scared’ to swap lives with Britney Spears, stays mum on Billy Ray’s rant

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tish Cyrus has made it clear that she’s not swapping lives with Britney Spears. 

The 57-year-old mother of Miley Cyrus confessed on her 'Sorry We're Stoned' podcast that the thought of living Britney’s life would leave her feeling "scared". Surprisingly, she stayed silent on ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus' rant, calling her a "skank" and "scum".

Guest Kaitlyn Bristowe floated the idea of a life swap to gain insight into Britney Spears' world, especially with growing concerns about the pop star’s well-being since her conservatorship ended in 2021.

To this idea, Tish Cyrus said, “I would be so scared."

Britney Spears spent nearly 14 years under a conservatorship that granted her father, Jamie Spears, control over her personal and financial affairs. The conservatorship was established in 2008 following a series of public breakdowns and erratic behavior by Spears.

In June 2021, Spears spoke out against the conservatorship, alleging abuse and expressing her desire for freedom, claiming she was forced to perform, take medication, and was prevented from having more children. 

After intense public scrutiny and the #FreeBritney movement, the conservatorship was terminated in November 2021. Despite the challenges, Spears published a bestselling memoir, 'The Woman in Me', which has sold over 2 million copies in the US.

Her love life has also been rocky. After divorcing Sam Asghari, she began dating Paul Soliz. 

Tish said, "It makes me sad," while discussing about Spears.

Tish Cyrus stays silent on Billy Ray Cyrus' explosive rant against her and Miley

The news follows an explosive outburst from Tish Cyrus' ex-husband, Billy Ray Cyrus, who criticized both her and their daughter Miley in a profanity-laden rant obtained exclusively by Daily Mail on July 24.

In the audio clip shared by the outlet, Billy Ray speaks of himself in the third person before launching a startling comment about Miley, saying, "Everyone knows that devil's a skank."

He also disparaged Tish, his former wife of 28 years and the mother of his three biological children - Miley, 31, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24 -referring to her derogatorily rather than by name.

In a startling text exchange with his manager and publicist Scott Adkins, Billy Ray harshly criticized Tish, calling her a "liar", "w***e", and "cheat", and describing her as "scum of the earth" and "fraud".

He also compared her unfavorably to Dina Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's mother, stating that she "makes Dina Lohan look like Mother Teresa".

Reports suggest that Miley has been estranged from Billy Ray since his 2022 divorce from Tish.

Billy Ray's outburst follows speculation that daughter Noah was upset with Tish for supposedly "stealing" her ex, Dominic Purcell.

Tish, 54, and Dominic were married on August 19, 2023, at Miley’s residence, but Noah did not attend the wedding.

However, Tish has made no comments and apparently stayed silent on the issue.
