Tom Cruise answers awkwardly about Father’s Day plan amid estrangement from Suri: ‘His biggest failure’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tom Cruise was reportedly asked about his Father’s Day plan as he attended the ‘Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning’ red carpet premiere in New York City on May 18.

The 62-year-old star shares Isabella Cruise and Connor Cruise with former wife Nicole Kidman, and Suri with ex-wife Katie Holmes. With Kidman, he had adopted Isabella and Connor.

However, he’s believed to be estranged from his biological child, Suri, who was born on April 18, 2006.

Tom Cruise says ‘making movies’ is his Father’s Day plan

On Sunday when the E! News journalist asked Cruise, “Father’s Day is just around the corner. What would an ideal Father’s Day look like for you?” he took a brief pause before saying, “You know…” as reported by Page Six.

“Just having fun, man. Making movies, big adventures, having a great time,” the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ actor added.

Cruise also talked about his new movie as he shared, “I fly airplanes, jets, aerobatics, formations and helicopters. Audiences, whatever they see in the trailer, it's not even close to what they're going to see on the big screen. You can't even think about or perceive what's going to come for these people.”

“I'm taking you for a ride,” he asserted.

Netizens slam Tom Cruise for ‘avoiding father's role’

However, people online were disappointed with his Father’s Day response.

A person on YouTube commented, “A simple question about Father's Day and he can't answer it. He has gotten to a point where all he can talk about is movies and his love of movies. What about being a parent, Tom? There was a time when that was important to you. Sad for this man.”
