LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise’s daughter Isabella "Bella" Kidman Cruise has taken a surprise step to reconnect with her adoptive mother Nicole Kidman’s side of the family.
When the 62-year-old ‘Mission: Impossible’ star was married to Kidman from 1990 to 2001, the couple adopted two children — Isabella and Connor.
While the two children largely stayed out of the spotlight following their parents’ contentious public divorce, Bella and Connor have remained close to their father.
However, in a recent development, the 32-year-old daughter of the ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ stars has taken a step forward to bridge her relationship with her estranged mother.
Bella Cruise extends support to mom Nicole Kidman’s family
Five years after her split from Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman tied the knot with her musician husband Keith Urban. The couple went on to welcome two biological daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Now, as Sunday Rose has ventured into a modeling career, she has received unexpected support from her elder sister, Bella.
On Friday, March 7, Sunday Rose uploaded a single photograph from her shoot for W Magazine, where she posed confidently while wearing a striped top and a leopard-printed jacket.

While the picture has since been liked by more than 3000 fans, one particular interaction stood out. The 16-year-old budding model’s photo was also liked by her elder sister Bella, Marca reported.
The subtle show of appreciation for her younger sister can also mean a shift in their family dynamics as the 32-year-old artist can be seen warming up to the idea of reconciling with her estranged mother, Kidman.
Nicole Kidman was not present at daughter Bella Cruise’s wedding
When Bella Cruise tied the knot with her IT consultant husband, Max Parker, in 2018, speculations were rife about whether her famous parents would be present at her wedding.
However, it was revealed later that even though the entire cost of her wedding was borne by the fashion designer’s Scientologist father, they would not be attending the ceremony.
At the same time, several rumors of Bella having a difficult relationship with her mother were also circulating.
A source dismissed the rumors at the time and claimed that the ‘Babygirl’ actress was involved in the wedding preparation, as per The Things.
They shared, “Nicole was actually involved with the wedding preparations, and she did have a private dinner with Bella and Max. But she didn't go to the ceremony."
They also referenced Cruise and Kidman’s past relationship, noting, "Also, the animosity between Tom and Nicole was probably a factor."
"Tom picked up the bill and paid for everything,” continued the source, before adding, “But it was decided that neither he nor Nicole should attend as it would have turned the whole event into a circus."
Bella’s loving gesture toward her half-sister also came after a source shared previously that Kidman is now looking forward to strengthening her bond with her two eldest children after her mother’s death.
Speaking to New Idea Magazine, the source shared, "Losing her mum has made Nicole not want to waste any more time. It hurt Janelle that she and husband Antony were estranged from Isabella and Connor."
The source continued, "They were their first two grandchildren and were once very close. It was a deep regret that they were unable to see her in person before she died," before adding that this remorse is “fuelling her need for a proper reconciliation."
