Tomi Lahren mocks Selena Gomez for crying over deported illegal immigrants: 'Certified moron'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez posted a video about her crying over President Donald Trump's latest immigration and deportation policy and later deleted it. However, the damage was already done.

The singer was slammed online for her emotional outburst and among her critics was right-wing political commentator Tomi Lahren, who didn’t hold back in her criticism of the actress and singer.

The video, which Gomez has since deleted but was widely shared online, showed the singer in tears as she expressed her distress over Trump’s immigration policies.

In the tearful clip, Gomez said, "I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry. All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise."

Tomi Lahren posted a 35-second video on her X (formerly Twitter) account, addressing Selena Gomez and captioning it, “Certified moron  @selenagomez crying for criminal illegal aliens is really something else. This is why we don’t take our political advice from Disney child stars.”

In the video, Lahren laughs and says, "I am just watching [laughs] Selena Gomez cry for illegal immigrants."

She then added, "You know these celebrity hacks. They see things on TikTok or Instagram or social media. They're so stupid, and illinformed. that they sit there and cry, because criminal aliens, rapists, murderers are being deported back to their country of origin.”

Lahren continued, “You know she's lucky that they don't get hung by their toe nails. We are just sending them home.”

She addressed Selena directly, saying, "Selena and the fact that you are defending, rapists, and  murderers, just shows how, stupid you are.” With a sigh and a smile, she concluded, "God help you. Bless your heart."

Tomi Lahren's video on Selena Gomez's tearful clip sparks discussion online

Within two days of Tomi Lahren's video on Selena Gomez being posted online, it racked up over 1.5 million views, 10,000 shares, and 2,000 comments. 

One user agreed with Lahren claiming, "All while Selena has her private security protecting her and the ones she loves! These people are stupid." 

Another person shared, "Well said Tomi! I doubt Selena gets it but that wouldn't  surprise me." 

An x user wrote, "Tomi is absolutely right."

One advised Gomez saying, "If @selenagomez loves illegal immigrants so much, she could adopt them and take them to live with her." 

Another social media user hailed, "We've watched you for years. You were a firecracker in your early years and now you are a mature firecracker. Never change Tomi." 

Finally a person simply mocked Gomez saying, "Selena is living in her fantasy world."
