NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce, may, at this point, be the most sought-after NFL siblings-duo, but they recently got beaten to accomplish a feat both have long dreamed of.
While Travis, 35, is still very much active in his pro-football career and is currently gearing up to face the Philadelphia Eagles along with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, Jason hung his boots in 2024 after playing for the Eagles for more than a decade.
While the Kelce brothers were all set to become the first NFL brothers duo to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame together, they have recently been beaten out by the Sharpe brothers.
Jason and Travis Kelce miss the chance to create Hall of Fame record
As reported by Marca, Jason and Travis Kelce missed the chance to create a record by being the first brother-duo to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame together, as the Sharpe brothers - Shannon Sharpe and Sterling Sharpe - scooped up the honor recently.
The ‘New Heights’ podcast hosts also shared a congratulatory note for the Sharpe brothers on their X account, as they wrote, “Congrats to the Sharpe brothers on becoming the first brothers to both make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame 👏.”

Their shout-out came on Thursday, just after Sterling was inducted into the prestigious group. Shannon was previously inducted in 2011.
However, this also means that the Kelces will have to wait a little longer for the spectacular feat and be another pair of brothers inducted into the Hall of Fame.

While Jason will be eligible in 2029, with several fans conjecturing he would receive the honor soon after, Travis is expected to make it to Canton, Ohio, after he retires from his career.
What are the chances of the Kelces' Hall of Fame?
While the Kelces may not be eligible yet, they are considered two of the most deserving players to be on the list.
Jason, who retired in 2024, rounded up his Hall of Fame resume last year after being named as a first-team All-Pro for the sixth time in his 13-year career by The Associated Press, as reported by Sports Illustrated.
While no other center has this feat in the history of the NFL, he was previously tied with Hall of Famer centers Dermontti Dawson and Mike Webster for the most with five. He is also seven times Pro Bowler for NFL.
His brother, Travis, on the other hand, is still at the top of his career and is gearing up to face the Eagles at the Super Bowl in the presence of President Donald Trump.
