NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: NFL stars Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce didn’t hold back when they recently watched 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' as part of their new movie club series on the 'New Heights' podcast.

Released as a bonus episode on October 17, the brothers humorously critiqued the 2005 film, poking fun at their friend Blake Lively, who starred as Bridget in the movie.

Travis and Jason Kelce playfully critique 'surprising level of acting' in movie

In the episode, the Kelce brothers kicked off their Wondery+ podcast’s movie club, revealing that the fan-chosen flick would likely be the last film selected by listeners.

Travis, 35, jokingly declared, “It would be the last time fans would be allowed to choose what movie they’d watch.”

Jason, 36, followed up with a balanced critique, saying, “Not a bad film. It’s hard to relate [but] surprising level of acting, I thought, for the film. It was well done.”

However, he admitted that he was initially “upset” that the pants didn’t have a more significant role in the plot, expecting them to play a more pivotal part.

“I didn’t feel like they did a damn thing and then [my wife] Kylie’s like, ‘You idiot, it’s a symbol that their friends are always with them,’” Jason said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, OK. That makes sense.’”

Although the brothers appreciated the performances in the film — especially Blake Lively’s portrayal of Bridget — they couldn't resist making her the butt of their jokes.

Jason humorously commented, “A lot of the movie is just Bridget running. I gotta admit, not the best run. Blake, I love you, it does not strike me as a star athlete run.”

Travis chimed in with laughter, adding, “She has good endurance, though, because running like that and to be talking? I would be f*****g gassed and would be way worse at trying to spit my lines out if I was running while talking.”

The Kelce brothers continued to break down the characters’ storylines, with Jason calling Bridget’s arc the “saddest story” of the group, particularly criticizing her love interest, Coach Eric (played by Mike Vogel).

“He’s about as evil as it gets,” Jason said. “He literally tells her, ‘When you turn 20 years old, give me a call.’ What are we doing? I felt terrible for Bridget, she got taken advantage of.”

Jason Kelce admits getting emotional during 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'

The Kelces also discussed the other main characters, including Lena’s romance with Kostas, which they compared to Romeo and Juliet, and Tibby’s connection with cancer patient Bailey, calling it “easily the most gut-wrenching.”

Jason even admitted to getting emotional during some scenes, particularly between Lena and her grandfather and moments with Bailey.

“I wasn’t full crying,” Jason insisted, “I don’t think other people knew I was crying, but I knew.”

This marked the Kelce brothers’ first installment of their movie club, which was announced earlier in October.

Jason had previously shared his skepticism about 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' before even watching it. “I was out after it said ‘sisterhood,’ and got even more out when it said ‘of the traveling pants,’” he quipped during their October 2 'New Heights' podcast episode.

Jason Kelce jokes about Swifties' influence on movie picks

During the October 2 episode, the eldest of the Kelce brothers also joked about the fan suggestions leaning heavily toward “chick flicks” thanks to the influence of Swifties, Taylor Swift’s fanbase.

“We’ve got a lot of Swifties trying to make us watch bad movies. … At least Twilight had vampires," as per Us Weekly.

For the unknown, the 2005 movie is about Bridget, Carmen, Lena, and Tibby, lifelong best friends from Maryland, spending their summer apart for the first time.

Bridget heads to Mexico, Lena visits family in Greece, while Carmen and Tibby stay nearby.

Despite the distance, they remain connected through a magical pair of jeans that fits all of them, symbolizing their close friendship and unbreakable bond.
