NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Travis Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole, has made her stance in the US presidential election crystal clear, and it's a stark contrast to Brittany Mahomes'.

Nicole's message comes after Brittany, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quaterback Patrick Mahomes, subtly endorsed Donald Trump with a social media like.

Kelce’s relationship with Kayla Nicole had begun in 2017 and was a rollercoaster, with the two dating on and off for five years.

Kayla Nicole subtly shows support for Kamala Harris

Kayla Nicole re-shared a powerful image of a young girl captivated by Democratic nominee Kamala Harris speaking at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) which concluded on Thursday, August 22.

She kept it classy, avoiding any direct comments about Donald Trump or her former friend Brittany, but her choice spoke volumes, Daily Mail reported.

Kayla Nicole's Instagram story featuring Kamala Harris certainly sets a different tone than Brittany Mahomes' recent social media activity.

Eagle-eyed followers noticed Brittany, soon-to-be a mother of three, liking a Donald Trump post that outlined 16 of his policies, spanning topics from immigration to the economy, to his 26.3 million followers, as per the Daily Mail.

When the public caught wind of Brittany's like, she faced a lot of backlash online.

Not one to lie low, Brittany clapped back at critics with a fiery Instagram story, writing, "I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There's no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well."

Interestingly, a resurfaced tweet from 2017 reveals that Brittany wasn't always a Trump fan, showing her displeasure during his presidency.

But beyond the online buzz, Brittany's apparent recent support for Trump's policies might have real-life consequences, particularly in her friendship with pop star Taylor Swift, who's currently dating Travis Kelce, her husband’s teammate and close friend.

With Brittany Mahomes' recent Trump endorsement making waves, many speculate that Taylor Swift—an outspoken liberal who accused Trump of "stoking white supremacy" in 2020—might reconsider her friendship with her fellow Chiefs WAG.

The discovery of Brittany's social media activity has sparked rumors that this political divide could strain their bond.

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' political differences

Taylor Swift has made her feelings about Donald Trump quite clear, having openly endorsed his former rival, Joe Biden, in the 2020 election.

According to NBC News, Taylor Swift officially endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election.

In a post made in October, 2020, timed with the vice presidential debate, Swift expressed, "So apt that it’s come out on the night of the VP debate. Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot."

Swift is expected to publicly endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in the weeks leading up to the 2024 election, likely between four to six weeks before November 5.

Given that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are close friends, it’s no surprise that Taylor and Brittany Mahomes have also formed a bond, often seen cheering on the Chiefs together.

But after Brittany liked Trump's post, Swift's fans have speculated that this might lead to a fallout between the two NFL WAGs.
