DAVOS, SWITZERLAND: At the World Economic Forum, Donald Trump highlighted senior administration officials during a Q&A session, offering public praise before a global audience. He singled out Secretary of State Marco Rubio in particular, predicting that the Florida Republican will be remembered as the greatest to hold the post.

Trump framed the moment as a reflection of his team’s performance during the first year of his second term, crediting Rubio with sharpening his own approach to foreign policy and describing the Secretary’s work as “fantastic.”

‘Let me teach you diplomacy’

Recalling an early conversation with his top diplomat, Trump told the audience, “Marco Rubio, he said, ‘Let me teach you about diplomacy.’”

The President then invited Rubio to stand for recognition. Rubio, who also serves as National Security Adviser, rose from his seat.

“You have done a great job as Secretary of State,” Trump said. “He’s going to go down as the best Secretary of State.” The remarks positioned Rubio at the forefront of Trump’s foreign policy narrative on one of the world’s most prominent economic stages.
