WILDWOOD, NEW JERSEY: Former President Donald Trump revealed his wife, Melania Trump's brutal yet straightforward feedback on his impression of President Joe Biden.

Speaking at a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 11, the Republican presumptive nominee recalled a phone conversation he had with the former First Lady which revealed that his imitation of Biden as a senile man was a little too real for Melania, according to Daily Mail.

Trump added that he no longer does Biden's impression because his wife thought it was actually he who was facing some difficulty.

What was the phone conversation between Donald and Melania Trump?

"I called my wife, the great First Lady," Trump said to the 80,000 supporters gathered at the Jersey Shore. "I said, 'First Lady, how great a speech was that?'"

Revealing Melania's response, the former president continued, "She said 'You were OK'. I said 'What's wrong?'. She said, 'Well, you couldn't find your way off stage.'"

The 77-year-old then tried to make his wife understand that he was just imitating his successor. He also dismissed a media report, saying, "They said I couldn't find my way off, that's what happened. So I have to be careful!"

The ex-president then admonished the "fake news" for misinterpreting his mimicry, making it as if he himself could not exit the stage. So now, he uses a "modified version" of his impression.

Unlike Trump's 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, Melania has not accompanied her husband on the 2024 campaign trail amid his multiple legal cases.

In addition, reports suggested that the former first lady might not appear in the courtroom supporting her husband as she considers the legal woes as his own problem.

Recently, her office declared the couple's son, Barron Trump, would not attend the upcoming Republican National Convention due to prior commitments. The last born of the Trump clan was named Florida delegate for the July event, where his father will be formally named the GOP nominee for president.

The real estate mogul's huge Jersey rally speech also included jabs against Biden and criticism towards the ongoing pro-Palestine protests on US campuses. Donald slammed his successor, calling him a "total moron" and argued the ongoing hush money trial was a "Biden show trial".
