LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Laura Ingraham has ignited a firestorm with her recent comments, alleging that Joe Biden's ghostwriter deleted crucial recordings relevant to an interview.

Ingraham voiced her concerns during a recent broadcast, raising questions about potential obstruction and the special counsel investigation's response.

Laura Ingraham stated, "But Joe Biden's ghostwriter, we found out, deleted recordings of this interview with Biden, even after he was allowed to [participate in] the special counsel investigation. Hmm, sounds like obstruction. Well, they declined to press charges because they said he offered a plausible, innocent reason for why he deleted the recordings."

Asking Professor Jonathan Turley, he said, “I would be very concerned about a client who was informed of a pending investigation and destroyed the key material evidence. The other interesting anomaly in this is that if they wanted to pursue this aggressively, as they did with the Trump investigations, we've seen prosecutors really pressure witnesses like this, saying that we may indict you for obstruction, to get their cooperation, to see if they have more evidence to offer."

He further added, "Instead, they did what they did with the president. They sort of convinced themselves that there was no reason to seriously pursue criminal charges. And it's very hard to square with what the report says. This report establishes all of the elements of crimes."

"They could have easily, on these facts, charged the president with mishandling of classified material, willfully retaining classified material, showing that material to others. That should sound familiar because those are dozens of counts against President Trump. And that's the reason why Hur had to go back to this. He's just too sympathetic to prosecute because otherwise you're really left wondering, well, OK, why don't you say you should prosecute him after he leaves office?” Turley added.

Public concerns and debates on social media

However, Social media platforms are buzzing with reactions, with many expressing their apprehensions about the incident and the potential implications for accountability at the highest levels of government.

Ingraham's comments have sparked debates on the responsibility of public figures and the need for transparency, regardless of one's political affiliation.

One user wrote, "Very concerning."

Another added, "Have him break them down on Trump's case, too. Thank you Laurita. But make sure to have hours available when he covers the Trump case, for that one is 1,000 times worse than Biden's, for it's about intent, criminal actions, and obstructing justice."

One commented, "If Biden is not guilty then Trump is not guilty. Period."

Another wrote, "Sounds like there was something to hide!"
