Vivek Ramaswamy called 'a joke' for asking Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis to drop out on Jesse Watters show
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Tuesday, Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, issued a plea for unity within the party by urging fellow candidates Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley to withdraw from the presidential race during his appearance on ‘Jesse Watters Primetime.’
Ramaswamy also emphasized the importance of providing support to former President Donald Trump for the sake of Republican cohesion.
Following his remarks, Fox News host Jesse Watters took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his conversation with Ramaswamy.
However, Ramaswamy faced severe backlash over his call as several people on the internet took a brutal jab at the bio tech businessman.

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters took to X and wrote, “Vivek Ramaswamy says he's ready to serve and he calls for Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis to drop out of the race right now.”

During his appearance, Ramaswamy told Watters, “I think Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley would actually, at this point, do this country and this party a service by stepping aside to make sure that we’re focused on not only nominating Donald Trump but getting this country back and reviving those founding revolutionary ideals.”
When the host pressed Ramaswamy if he was calling on Haley and DeSantis to drop out, he said, “I am, and I do think that would be healthy for this country.”
The remarks from Ramaswamy urging DeSantis and Haley to exit the Republican presidential race and support Donald Trump come just a day after he suspended his own 2024 GOP presidential campaign.
Ramaswamy, who experienced a disappointing showing in Monday's Iowa caucuses, decided to throw his support behind Trump.
It's notable that Ramaswamy had previously expressed his support for Trump even when both were competitors on the campaign trail, making his endorsement less surprising.
During the campaign, Ramaswamy went so far as to encourage his fellow 2024 contenders to pledge their commitment to pardon the former president for potential federal charges related to his handling of classified documents after leaving the White House.
