LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ariana Grande is not letting the tabloid rumors get to her.

The pop star, who is dating her 'Wicked' co-star Ethan Slater, revealed how she feels about the media scrutiny following Dalton Gomez's divorce on the 'Zach Sang Show'.

Ariana Grande on how tabloids treat women

Grande said that the tabloids often create narratives that don’t reflect the reality of the people they write about, especially women.

“We selectively remember that this is what the tabloids do to people, especially women, based on whether or not we like the person. We selectively remember that. We selectively leave space for humanness, for nuance. Like, they don’t leave space for that—well, they do for their friends and their family," she said.

"It’s selective. But they turn it off when that aligns with the version of a person that they have in their head that they want to believe is true,” she added.

Ariana Grande on why she doesn’t address rumors

The two-time Grammy winner admitted that she doesn’t have the time or the energy to respond to every rumor that circulates about her and her loved ones.

“I feel like we don’t need to go into any specifics. But of course, there’s an insatiable frustration, inexplicable, hellish feeling with watching people misunderstand the people you love, and you and anything, she said, according to E! News.

She also expressed her concern that her upcoming album 'Eternal Sunshine' which is partly inspired by her real-life experiences, will be misinterpreted by the “selective memory people” who don’t leave space for nuance and complexity.

“Pieces of it touch on things that are real and then pieces of it are also just like…part of the concept. So what is that separation? And it’s so scary to leave it up to these selective memory people to decipher. It’s scary. But I digress. It’s too late. The vinyls have been printed,” she said.

Ariana Grande's new album will be released on March 8

Grande will release her seventh album — 'Eternal Sunshine' — next week on 8 March, as per a Hollywood reporter.

She also recently finished filming the 'Wicked' movie which is likely to be released in November. Its trailer was released during the Super Bowl.
