LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Universal Pictures recently announced that a new 'Jurassic World' movie is in early development, with plans to launch "a new Jurassic era" unrelated to the Chris Pratt trilogy.

Franchise screenwriting veteran David Koepp has signed on to craft the script. Through the project, Frank Marshall aims to rekindle the iconic movie magic that turned 'Jurassic Park' (1993) into a pop culture legend under Steven Spielberg, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Insiders claim the upcoming 'Jurassic World' installment is ready to enter an all-new era

While details remain scarce, sources say the new film will kick off "a new Jurassic era" with an all-new storyline unrelated to the previous 'Jurassic World' trilogy, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

This likely rules out returning characters, signaling that the franchise is going in a bold new direction rather than retreading familiar territory.

While no director or cast has been announced, the script is said to be in solid shape as Universal whispers of a 2025 release. Spielberg will apparently act as an executive producer through his Amblin Entertainment company.

The Jurassic series has continued to captivate worldwide audiences for 30 years and raked in over $6 billion in box office sales across six blockbuster films. It all started in 1993 when 'Jurassic Park' revolutionized visual effects and brought dinosaurs convincingly back to life on the big screen.

Adapting the Michael Crichton novel, Spielberg's sci-fi thriller wowed critics and audiences, becoming a landmark pop culture touchstone that still inspires awe today.

The franchise lay dormant for years before 'Jurassic World' (2015) reignited the concept to even bigger box office heights. 'Jurassic World Dominion', released in 2022, officially concluded the 'Jurassic World' trilogy - but clearly, Universal believes the premise still has teeth.

Internet hopeful about the upcoming 'Jurassic World' installment

In response to the news of the upcoming 'Jurassic World' installment, netizens erupted with a chorus of opinions.

One enthusiastic user declared, "i’m here for it," and another demanded, "With a new talented cast please."

"Make it interesting please," said a person, while someone else simply noted, "Wow anticipating."

An individual who clearly doesn't want any more films from the franchise wrote, "Dinosaurs in blockbusters? How original. Couldn't find a new plot?"

Another excited fan expressed, "I’m here for it and I’ll watch it hahahaha but make it better than Dominion!"
