Who is Estee Stanley? Justin Timberlake was out with celeb interior designer before drunk driving arrest
LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK: Justin Timberlake was reportedly hanging out with his celebrity interior decorator pal on the night when he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in June.
Estee Stanley was spending the evening with the musician on June 18 at Tony classic, The American Hotel, where he allegedly had one martini, as reported by Page Six, before being busted on the road by the cops.
Her producer husband, Byran Furst, was also with them.
Who is Estee Stanley?
Apart from being an interior designer, Stanley was earlier Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel’s stylist. She has also styled stars like Penelope Cruz, Demi Moore, and Brad Pitt.
Not only that, she was also the host of Biel and the ‘Everything I Thought It Was’ singer’s engagement in Los Angeles in 2012.
Besides, Stanley and Timberlake are business partners too. The duo started a line of home goods called HomeMint in 2012.
At the time, the 43-year-old singer said, as per Elle Decor, “This was really a collaboration with Estee. I don't think I would do it if we weren't in it together.”
“We've known each other for a long time and have worked together on my homes—we really have a like-minded vision for design so when BeachMint [the company behind HomeMint and sister sites StyleMint and BeautyMint] came to us with the opportunity, it felt like a really natural thing for us to do together,” he stated.
Elaborating further, he added, “I think we definitely both have more of a European vibe, we're inspired by Axel Vervoordt and Christian Liaigre. And we love ELLE DECOR! I was just in Paris and I bought about 10 copies of the European magazines over there and they were all amazing.”
Estee Stanley and Jessica Biel were business partners
A few years later, Stanley and Biel came together for another partnership.
The pair launched a now-closed kid-friendly restaurant in Los Angeles named Au Fudge in 2016 along with Greenleaf founder Jon Rollo.
Stanley told Architectural Digest at the time, “Of course, it’s Jessica and Justin Timberlake. Of course. They’re practically my family at this point.”
Justin Timberlake accepted his mistake
The new information came after last month, Timberlake pled guilty to driving while ability impaired (DWAI), a lesser charge in a Sag Harbor court.
He was then ordered to pay a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge and 25 hours of community service at the nonprofit of his own choice, CBS News reported.
Following the ruling, the ‘Friends with Benefits’ actor said in a statement, “Many of you have probably been covering me for a lot of my life, and as you may know, I try to hold myself to a very high standard, for myself. And this was not that. I found myself in a position where I could have made a different decision.”
“And so what I'd like to say to everyone watching and listening, even if you've had one drink, don't get behind the wheel of a car. There are so many alternatives. Call a friend. Take an Uber. There are many travel apps. Still, take a taxi. This is a mistake that I've made,” Timberlake added.
