As a TikTok video with the compilation of the last five performances went viral, fans could not stop talking about Hilary Duff’s performance.
Duff, 37, who rose to fame through her iconic show ‘Lizzie McGuire’ in the 2000s, was tapped to perform at the Youth Concert in Washington, DC on January 18, 2005. It was one of the first events in the lead-up to the swearing-in of Bush for his second term.
For her performance, Duff - who recently opened her doors to her friend Mandy Moore after she was forced to evacuate due to the Los Angeles fire - belted out a magnificent rendition of ‘Come Clean’ on stage.
The video also contained performances by Beyonce during Barack Obama’s swearing-in ceremony in 2009 and Lady Gaga singing at Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021.
Underwood, who announced that she would be performing at Trump's inauguration on January 20, shared in a statement, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event."
“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future," continued the country singer, per The Hollywood Reporter.
