‘Wonderful having them back': Jamie Foxx and Corinne set to make a comeback for hosting ‘Beat Shazam’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are ready to host the seventh season of the interactive music game show 'Beat Shazam.'

The father-daughter duo are resuming their hosting duties for the seventh season of 'Beat Shazam,' which will premiere on Fox on May 28, 2024.
The show features teams of contestants trying to identify songs faster than the app Shazam, with a chance to win up to $1M.
“Jamie and Corinne are the heart and soul of Beat Shazam," claimed Allison Wallach, president of unscripted entertainment at Fox Entertainment to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wallach added, “As our undeniably dynamic father-daughter hosting team, they bring a relationship like no other to a show like no other, and it’s wonderful having them back on set this season.”
The pair reportedly also expressed their excitement in a new promo for the show. “I’m back for an all new season for Beat Shazam!” Corinne exclaimed before Jamie added, “Uh, yeah and I’m back too!” as per People.
Jamie declares, “We’re giving away another $1 million dollars in our highly anticipated return."
Jamie Foxx’s health scare and recovery
The 56-year-old star was hospitalized in March 2023 due to an unknown health issue while filming 'Back to Action' film that left him unable to walk.
His family asked for privacy and prayers as he underwent treatment. Corinne, 30, who is also the series co-host and a DJ, shared updates on her father’s condition on social media.
She revealed that he was out of the hospital and recuperating by April 2023, but admitted that the family was prepared for “the worst.”
Corinne also slammed rumors which described Foxx as paralyzed and lost eyesight at the time.
Jamie Foxx made his first public appearance since his health scare at a Critics Choice Association event in December 2023, where he cracked jokes about his near-death experience.
“I saw the tunnel, I didn’t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel too — I don’t know where I was going. ‘Shit, am I going to the right place?’” he exclaimed.
Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne hosted 'Beat Shazam' in Foxx's absence in 2023, and also received praise from him from the hospital.
