WWE legend Glenn Jacobs challenges Tim Walz for match after his bold remarks against GOP supporters

KNOX COUNTY, TENNESSEE: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s recent remarks about his ability to "kick most [Trump supporters’] a**" have drawn a challenge from WWE legend and Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs.
Jacobs, a longtime Trump supporter and former professional wrestler known as "Kane" in the wrestling world, proposed a charity wrestling match in response to Walz’s comments.
All joking aside, @GovTimWalz, let's put our money where our mouth is...in a charity wrestling match. We'll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations. I'll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say? #TennesseeWalz#LetsDance pic.twitter.com/2VV6j4RYs2

Glenn Jacobs challenges Tim Walz to a wrestling match for charity
Glenn Jacobs took to social media to issue his challenge, suggesting they put their words to the test in a charity match.
“All joking aside, @GovTimWalz, let’s put our money where our mouth is... in a charity wrestling match,” Jacobs wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“We’ll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations. I’ll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say?” Jacobs added.

His challenge followed Walz’s recent appearance on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s podcast, where he made remarks about Trump supporters.
Tim Walz claims he could outrun and defeat most GOP supporters
During the podcast discussion, Gavin Newsom pointed out that the Democratic Party is losing male voters across all demographics and emphasized the importance of engaging with them.

"We cannot continue to be on the defense, reacting to this. We gotta meet people where they are… You gotta respect people you disagree with, and you can’t just dismiss people,” Newsom said.
Walz, however, took a different approach, asserting that he was not concerned with diplomacy.

Anybody getting their ass kicked by Tampon Tim? 🤣 pic.twitter.com/tCWCj3woPy
"I think I could kick most of their a**. I know I can outrun them. I don’t know if we’re going to fall into that place where we, okay, we challenge you to, you know, a WWE fight here, type of thing," he responded, as per MEAWW.
WWE legends Glenn Jacobs and Mark Callaway backed Donald Trump during 2024 election
Glenn Jacobs' challenge brought attention to his and other wrestlers' political stances, particularly their past support for Donald Trump.
If Walz were to accept, he might have to contend with more than just Jacobs.
Jacobs and fellow WWE legend The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Callaway, have previously voiced their support for Trump.

The two publicly endorsed Trump during his 2024 election campaign, as per the New York Post.
“All right everyone. November 5th – ElectionMania. The choice is yours. You can go with President Trump, Kane, and The Undertaker or you can take Kamala Harris, Dave Bautista, and Tim Walz. Choose wisely – the nation depends on it," Callaway said in a TikTok video featuring both Trump and Jacobs beside him.
Trump’s appearance with the wrestling greats followed a video by former WWE star Dave Bautista, who expressed his support for Kamala Harris and Walz while criticizing Trump, as per the New York Post.
By enthiastically supporting Kamala Harris over the loathsome piece of shit, Dave Bautista is one of the celebrities who has risen to the occasion. Here he is voting early in Tampa, Florida. 🙌🙏💪👏👊🌊🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/iY2wwh9lLp
