Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene's call for Nikki Haley to 'drop-out' of presidential race
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley criticized Nevada's primary and caucus system, labeling it a "scam" following her defeat in the state.
Now, Marjorie Taylor Greene has taken to social media, expressing her stance on Haley to "drop out" of the race.
Greene criticizes Nikki Haley's loss in the Nevada primary
In contrast, Donald Trump advised his supporters against participating in the Nevada primary on February 5, citing his absence from the ballot.
Despite his suggestion, nearly 44,000 Republicans cast their votes, dealing a substantial blow to Nikki Haley, according to Reuters.
Haley, Trump's ultimate rival for the Republican presidential nomination, stood as the sole major candidate on the primary ballot but faced a decisive defeat to ballots marked "none of these candidates."
Nevada voters wrote Trump in and destroyed Nikki Haley in an election that doesn’t even produce delegates. The caucus does and she’s not even doing the caucus.

Drop out Nikki!!!
I’ve said it all along, people will elect Trump even if he’s not on the ballot and if he’s in jail! pic.twitter.com/KnkYVOGrNt
In light of Haley's loss, Greene took to X/Twitter, writing, "Nevada voters wrote Trump in and destroyed Nikki Haley in an election that doesn’t even produce delegates. The caucus does and she’s not even doing the caucus. Drop out, Nikki!!! I’ve said it all along, people will elect Trump even if he’s not on the ballot and if he’s in jail!"
It is noteworthy to mention that party leaders and insiders have clarified that there was no organized effort by Trump's team or the state party to mobilize his supporters to vote against Haley in the February 5th primary.
"This was simply a message from voters to Nikki Haley to unite the Republican Party," stated Michael McDonald, chair of the Nevada Republican Party and a Trump loyalist.
"We hope she gets behind Donald Trump", McDonald added.
Internet users react to Greene's remarks on Haley, opinions divided
Greene's remarks about Haley received mixed reactions from internet users.
One individual taking a jab at Greene, "Marjorie Taylor Greene Introduced a Resolution to Impeach DHS Secretary Mayorkas on Nov 9, 2023. She barked and barked and barked for 3 months trying to impeach him. During this time, she introduced ZERO bills to help the American People! She co-signed ZERO bills to help the American People".

The post further said, "Lastly, she talked about ZERO bills to help the American People! After 3 months of wasted taxpayer money, she failed at impeaching Mayorkas! What will this do to help the border, NOTHING! All Republicans do is play politics - and scream on Fox News! Marjorie Taylor Greene did not go to Congress to help Americans! She went to Congress to spend money on conspiracies and unwarranted impeachments".

Meanwhile, Haley, who has pledged to continue her campaign and participate in the South Carolina primary on February 24th, is not participating in the Nevada caucus.
