LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zachary Levi explained why it was more "important" to openly support Donald Trump than to worry about his career during his recent appearance on 'The Megyn Kelly Show'.

The 'Shazam' star claimed that he felt "at peace" when he endorsed the MAGA spearhead for president in 2024, as per The Independent.

The 44-year-old actor, who opposed Covid-19 vaccines in 2023, has since turned into a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.

Levi, who previously backed Robert F Kennedy Jr, was among several famous individuals who threw their support behind the 78-year-old for the 2024 election.

During his appearance on SiriusXM's 'The Megyn Kelly Show' to promote his new film, 'The Unbreakable Boy', recalled being invited by Tulsi Gabbard to mediate a town hall that she and RFK Jr were hosting in support of Trump.

Despite being initially hesitant, the actor said that after participating in the town hall, he "felt peace because I knew that this was more important than saving my career."

"I think we too often fall into these paradigms, these thought processes of self-preservation, and it is not good," Levi explained.

"We need to be wise and we want to survive and we want to live and flourish and all those things, but we can’t merely make decisions off of, 'Well I hope nothing bad happens to me.' You got to sacrifice,'" he added.

Levi publicly endorsed Trump at a Michigan rally in September 2024 before facilitating a discussion between Gabbard and RFK Jr, as per Variety.

He further told Megyn Kelly, "What am I really afraid of at the end of the day? That I’m somehow going to lose jobs in an industry that I already believe is completely falling apart and that won’t even be creating jobs for me in a few years anyway?"

"If I lose all of my acting career, and I hope I don’t, and so far I haven’t…  But none of that matters. If the world goes off a cliff, what does it matter?" Levi added.

He assured the conservative commentator that since taking office Trump has been "doing what he said he was going to do."

"And more than that, these are some of the things I was kind of even secretly hoping he was going to do because, damn it, we do deserve to know what’s going on," the 'Harold and the Purple Crayon' actor stated.

Levi previously said he was putting his career at risk when he endorsed Trump for president, citing the fact that "Hollywood is a very, very liberal town."

"Honestly cracking up at Zachary Levi framing his support of Trump as 'walking with God' and making sure he doesn’t 'lose [his] soul.' 'If the world goes off a cliff, what does it matter?' Dude, do you not see how Trump is literally the person doing the pushing? I have to laugh," expressed a person who was skeptical of Levi's remarks.

Another said, "In what world is supporting a politician more important than having a career?? I don’t know any politician, right or left, that’s worth that."

One more offered, "Do you two understand what 'cognitive dissonance' is? Because both of you exhibit classic signs. The issue isn't your end game. You want what many others want. Your preferred vehicle IS THE ISSUE, however, because Trump is no messiah. He's the corrupted version of your hopes."
