NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Al Pacino has already set the record straight about his relationship status after breaking up with 30-year-old producer Noor Alfallah but the star now believes he'll 'die a bachelor'.

As per Radar Online, the 84-year-old Hollywood icon, who recently welcomed his son Roman with Alfallah, reportedly shared that romance isn’t in the picture right now.

Al Pacino 'open to meaningful connections' after breakup

In an interview with People, when asked if he's involved in a relationship, Al Pacino simply responded, “No. I have a friendship.”

His representative echoed this sentiment, stating, "Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman."

Pacino, known for his iconic roles in films like 'The Godfather' and 'Scarface,' delves deeper into his personal life and pens his thoughts on relationships in his upcoming memoir 'Sonny Boy'.

In the book, he addresses his well-known aversion to marriage, describing it as “an entrance to the pain train.”

Expanding on that metaphor, Pacino explained, “Everything's a ticket to the pain train. A ticket or nothing. Are you going to go or not? No, I'll stay here. I'll stay here at the station, I'm not getting on.”

He admitted that marriage can work for some but has never felt it was right for him. “I just didn’t feel it ever suited me for some reason.”

While Pacino may not be walking down the aisle anytime soon, he remains open to meaningful connections.

“I loved living together, and then... It depends on who you are getting along with. If you live together with someone, there's got to be... You have to have this communion. If you don't, it's almost an invasion,” he reflected, emphasizing the importance of finding true connection with others.

Despite not being romantically involved with Alfallah, Pacino is far from lonely.

“I have friends all over the place. I must say I’m very lucky with that,” he said, acknowledging the abundance of close relationships in his life.

Recently, as per the New York Times, Al Pacino reflected on his near-death experience after contracting Covid-19 four years ago, stating, “I didn’t see the white light or anything. There’s nothing there… You’re gone.”

The 84-year-old actor, now promoting his memoir 'Sonny Boy', recalled feeling dehydrated and feverish during the pandemic in 2020.

Despite enlisting a nurse for help, Pacino said, “I was gone.” Though he recovered, the star described the moment as a profound confrontation with mortality, as per LA Times

Noor Alfallah reflects on meeting 'talented and unique' Al Pacino

Al Pacino and Noor Alfallah, 30, were first linked in 2022 and welcomed their son, Roman, in June 2023. They were since then spotted together on several occasions.

Alfallah, a film producer, opened up about their relationship earlier this year, sharing the story of how they met at a dinner party in the late 2010s.

“I thought, wow, that’s Al Pacino. I went to film school, so I wasn’t dumb about who he was," she recalled in an interview with Vogue Arabia.

“He’s a very talented and unique person. But I had no intention of thinking like, oh, he is going to be my son’s father one day.”

Their bond deepened during the Covid-19 pandemic when they spent every day together, playing chess and watching movies. "It was like film school with Al Pacino," Alfallah said. “I guess it just became something more.”

Despite rumors of a split last September, shortly after Roman’s birth, Pacino’s rep denied any breakup, affirming that the two remain close friends and co-parents.

They have also worked out a legal custody arrangement for Roman. At Alfallah’s birthday party in September, Pacino even helped her blow out the candles, demonstrating their continued friendship.

According to PEOPLE, Al Pacino, who has never been married, is the father of three adult children from past relationships. His eldest daughter, Julie Marie, 33, is from his relationship with acting coach Jan Tarrant.

He also has 22-year-old twins, Anton and Olivia, from his previous relationship with actress Beverly D'Angelo, as per reports.

Pacino’s memoir 'Sonny Boy', which offers further insights into his life, relationships, and career, will be available on October 15.
