Shiloh Jolie doesn't want to be known as 'rich nepo baby', hates people who waste money on designer bags
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie, doesn't think being a "rich nepo baby" is cool.
Though the 18-year-old has been bestowed with a lot of privileges, thanks to her celeb parents, she doesn't take them for granted and doesn’t want to flaunt her wealth, according to an insider.
Shiloh Jolie doesn't have much interest in flaunting her wealth
A source close to the Jolie family recently shared with a news outlet, "Shiloh has no concept of what it’s really like to struggle, but she doesn’t think it’s very cool to be some rich nepo baby," as per OK Magazine.
Shiloh and several of her siblings are said to share a contentious relationship with their father. However, the teen seems to be thankful to him for setting up a trust fund.
The insider further shared, "Shiloh may not be on the best terms with Brad these days, but she’s got him to thank for organizing a trust fund for her. The irony is that she couldn’t be less materialistic. Shiloh has a good head on her shoulders and doesn’t have much interest in flaunting her wealth. It’s quite something because she could easily be."
They further added, "Shiloh is disgusted by people who waste money on designer bags when there are people going hungry. She thinks it’s totally tacky. She almost never spends money on herself. She wears secondhand clothes and would happily shop at thrift stores all the time if she wasn’t worried about getting recognized."
The source gushed about Shiloh saying that she is supremely focused on her dance and helping her friends in the dance community she frequents.
"She’s extremely generous and will happily pick up the tab for the group when they all go out to eat. She doesn’t do it to be flashy," said the tipster, adding, "It’s more because she has the money, and a lot of her friends are broke."
They also shared the hopes and aspirations of the youngster, revealing, "She wants to study dance and live in a humble apartment with a bunch of kids her own age. That’s what her mom did when she was young. In a lot of ways, she and Angelina are very alike."
Shiloh Jolie announced name change in newspaper to drop her father Brad Pitt’s last name
Soon after turning 18 in May, Shiloh Jolie filed a petition to drop her father Brad Pitt’s last name. She hired her own attorney and paid for the filing herself. Recently, she completed the latest phase in California's name-change procedure.
As a step toward getting her name change approved by a judge, the teenager published a legal notice in the Los Angeles Times.
A source close to the family shared with PEOPLE Magazine that the actor was left deeply affected by this decision. They said, "He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. The reminders that he’s lost his children are, of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad."
