Angelina Jolie 'frazzled' as son Pax 'has a long way to go' in recovering from injuries of bike accident
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie is reportedly struggling to cope with her son Pax's challenging recovery after a severe e-bike accident left him with severe injuries.
The 20-year-old sustained significant injuries in the crash, including serious head trauma and hip injury, and his mother is described as being "frazzled" and "fretting" over his condition, as reported by RADARONLINE.
Angelina Jolie overwhelmed by son Pax’s bike accident recovery
Sources noted, "He's out of the ICU but not out of the woods. Pax suffered serious head trauma and a hip injury, so he has a long way to go yet."
Pax, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was involved in a collision with a car on Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Angeles on July 29. While he has been discharged from the ICU, sources reveal that his road to recovery is still long and arduous. Doctors have diagnosed him with a minor brain bleed and a hip injury, necessitating extensive physical therapy.
Witness Lola Cavalli recounted, "He was hit on the head. His mouth was filled with blood."
Jolie, 59, has been intensely concerned about her son's health and has remained by his side throughout his hospital stay.
A source noted, “Head injuries are so scary, but she had to be brave for his sake.”
The actress is said to be the only parent Pax wanted around during this distressing time, as his relationship with his father, Brad Pitt, remains strained.
Pax reportedly referred to Pitt as a "world-class a**hole" in a now-deleted Instagram post and has been avoiding communication with him.
Sources disclosed, "Brad has tried to reach Pax, but Pax won't take his calls. All Brad can do is wait and worry on his own. He's deeply concerned and heartbroken."
In contrast, Pax's siblings have been actively supporting him through his recovery. They have been visiting and assisting him, demonstrating their close bond despite the family's tumultuous history.
The siblings’ support comes against a backdrop of further family discord, with Shiloh Jolie and Zahara Marley Jolie recently making headlines for distancing themselves from their father.
Amid these challenges, Jolie's focus remains on ensuring Pax's recovery and managing the family's complex dynamics.
Brad Pitt holds out hope for reconciliation after Shiloh drops his last name
Brad Pitt is reportedly "hurt" but remains hopeful after his daughter, Shiloh Jolie, legally dropped his last name. Shiloh, who turned 18 in May, was formally granted a name change on August 19, officially becoming Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, three months after filing the request.
According to sources, Pitt has come to terms with Shiloh's decision, despite the emotional toll it has taken on him. "He knew this was coming, and there is nothing he can do about it right now," a source told the Daily Mail.
"It's sad, but Brad's strained relationship with his kids and Angelina is just a way of life for him now."
The insider also emphasized Pitt's enduring love and support for Shiloh and his other children, stating, "He respects Shiloh's decision. He loves her, and no matter what happens, he is always only a phone call away. He will be there for Shiloh and any of his kids whenever they need, no questions asked. But it's up to them to make the next move."
Pitt and Angelina Jolie's relationship has been rocky since they met in 2004 while working on the set of 'Mr and Mrs Smith'. The couple married in 2014 but filed for divorce in September 2016, leading to years of public and private tensions.
Despite the current distance, another source shared that Pitt remains optimistic about the future. "Brad feels in his heart that after all the dust has settled and the years have passed, he will get a fair shot at being a part of Shiloh’s life again."
