Angelina Jolie seeks help for troubled son Pax after crash leaves friends 'worried' over his recklessness
LOS FELIZ, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie is reportedly gathering support for her son Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, 20, who is hospitalized following a serious electric bike accident involving a car in Los Feliz on July 29 during the busy rush hour.
The Oscar-winning actress, 49, has stayed by Pax's side since the crash. Reports indicate that he was not wearing a helmet, and paramedics initially worried about a potential brain bleed at the scene.
At present, no further details about his condition in the hospital have been released.
Pax Jolie-Pitt's 'reckless' behavior concerns friends and family
The Daily Mail reports that Pax has a history of accidents involving both bikes and cars.
An insider revealed concerns from his friends, stating, "His friends are worried about him," and adding, "He's being reckless. They're worried."
The LAPD has stated that there are no new updates or potential charges related to the recent collision.
The source also revealed, "He has had a string of car crashes. It's not great. Pax is struggling, and Angelina is doing everything she can to support him."
Pax's accident occurred during Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's ongoing legal dispute over the sale of the French vineyard Chateau Miraval, a central issue even after their marriage was officially dissolved.
Recently, Jolie has leveled serious accusations against Pitt, claiming he coerced her into signing an $8.5 million non-disclosure agreement related to her abuse allegations.
According to People, Jolie's court filings state that her decision to sell her share of Miraval in 2021 was not driven by malice or as retaliation against custody decisions.
Instead, she argued that "Pitt refused to buy her share unless he was given a newly expanded NDA, supported by an $8.5 million holdback specifically designed to silence her about his abuse and cover-up."
Pax is Angelina Jolie's middle child
Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, born on November 29, 2003, in Vietnam, is the middle child of actress Angelina Jolie and actor Brad Pitt.
Reportedly, he was adopted by Jolie in 2007 after spending three years at the Tam Binh Orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City.
He has followed in his mother’s creative footsteps by voicing a character in Kung Fu Panda 3 and working on the set of 'First They Killed My Father.'
Pax has also participated in various projects, including assisting with Jolie's fashion initiative, Atelier Jolie.
Brad Pitt formally adopted Pax in 2008, making him a member of a large family that includes his siblings Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.
However, following a tumultuous 2016 incident on a private plane, where Brad Pitt was accused of striking one of his children, the actor has been estranged from his older kids.
Despite the seriousness of the allegations, no charges were filed following a thorough investigation.
Growing up in a high-profile family, Pax has developed a keen interest in the arts, with a particular passion for film.
Jolie has noted that none of her children aspire to be actors, but they enjoy the filmmaking process from behind the scenes.
Pax has been involved in various projects, including working as a crew member on his mother's forthcoming film, 'Without Blood,' according to People.
