NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ariana Grande, who charmed fans as a coach on NBC's 'The Voice' in 2021, has revealed that she is unlikely to grace the iconic red chair anytime soon.

The 'Wicked' actress and pop sensation opened up about her emotional experience on the show during an episode of the 'Las Culturistas' podcast, sharing why the gig may not be for her in the long run.

Ariana Grande admits getting 'emotionally attached' with contestants

"I got so emotionally attached to everyone. That's my problem. I can't really do that because I really get in," Grande, 31, confessed on the podcast.

"I really get in there with everyone. I love everyone so much. I love meeting people, and I've felt so invested."

Grande's deep emotional involvement became a hallmark of her time on the show.

She bonded closely with her contestants, even going as far as to invite her team members Holly Forbes, Jim Allen, and Sasha Allen to her family’s Thanksgiving dinner in 2021.

Forbes described the experience as eye-opening, sharing with People: “The most unexpected thing about Ariana is just how big her heart is. You know, she's always checking on us. We got the chance to meet some of her close family members and friends, and she's so loving to everyone.”

Forbes continued, “People might have opinions on her, and I didn't know how she'd be as a person at first, but she's just incredible. It was unexpected to meet someone of her celebrity status who is so real and kind.”

'The Voice' contestants reveal that Ariana Grande is 'a lifelong friend and biggest cheerleader'

Fellow contestant Raquel Trinidad echoed this sentiment, marveling at Grande's approachability.

"I was pleasantly surprised about how ridiculously friendly Ariana is — to the point where we get texts from her," Trinidad said.

"We talk to her like she's been a friend for years. I can text her and say, 'Hey, does this sound good?' She’s so honest with us, and she'll tell us, 'We need to fix this.' I really did not expect to make such a lifelong friend."

Ryleigh Plank, another member of Team Ariana, credited the '7 Rings' singer for helping her embrace imperfection.

"She's really opened my eyes to be less critical of myself," Plank said.

"I love to explore and push the envelope, but sometimes when you do those things, you don't always get it perfect. But she's made such a wonderful environment for that exact thing. I am really grateful for that amount of realness that she's brought to the show."

Ariana Grande reveals the challenges of coaching on 'The Voice'

While Ariana Grande’s warmth and sincerity left a lasting impression on her contestants, she admitted that the job itself was far from easy.

"It's just been exciting to be so moved in the moment that you turn your chair," Grande revealed.

"Maybe you went into it thinking, 'Oh, I know what kind of voices I'm going to turn for,' and then someone's performance completely surprises you, and you're like, 'Wow.'"

"You watch it on TV and you think you know, 'OK, I'm going to get in there and it's going to be easy whatever,'" she told E! News in 2021.

"But it's so hard. [The other coaches] are so seasoned and so great at it."

Her dedication even led her to bend the rules. During an appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', Grande revealed, “I talk to them all, all the time. I’m like, DMing them. They’re like, 'You’re not supposed to do that.' And I’m like, 'Sorry.'”

Grande joined 'The Voice' in 2021 as Nick Jonas' replacement, expressing her excitement in a statement.

"I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists, and help to take their craft to the next level."
