LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ashton Kutcher took matters into his own hands by trying to protect his friend's house from the devastating wildfires blazing through the Los Angeles area.

More than 2,000 homes, businesses, and other buildings have been damaged or destroyed and at least five people are reported dead in wildfires scorching communities across Los Angeles County, according to Los Angeles Times.

An exclusive video shared by TMZ captured Ashton Kutcher holding a garden hose and watering plants and trees near a Pacific Palisades house that his friend owns.

Notably, Watering plants is a beneficial method to curtail fires, and watered plants tend to be less flammable, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.



 

Moreover, Kutcher is one of many celebrities who have braced against the wildfires that caused a trail of devastation, per the Los Angeles Times.

Furthermore, other famous celebs such as Jamie Lee Curtis have shared that they’ve been forced to evacuate their homes, while other celebrities, such as Anna Faris, Diane Warren, Cameron Mathison, Adam Brody, and Leighton Meester have had their homes burn down in the blaze, according to Daily Beast.

Celebs who lost their homes in LA wildfires

Many celebrities have lost their homes to the wildfire that has engulfed Los Angeles, leaving Pacific Palisades with massive destruction.  

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester's $6.5 million home, which they purchased in 2019, was reduced to rubble on Wednesday, January 8.



 

The viral photos show Brody and Meester's three-story property engulfed in flames, with its roof collapsed and smoke pouring through shattered windows.

Similarly, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their home to the wildfire tearing through Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 7, sources claimed to TMZ.



 

Notably, Pratt and Montag’s residence in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles was at the epicenter of the blaze first reported on Tuesday, per the outlet.

Sources told the outlet that the house "burned to the ground" but Pratt and Montag were able to escape with their entire family safely. An insider further informed the outlet that the couple is "devastated" by the loss.

Reality TV star Stephanie Pratt also shared her anguish as she faced uncertainty about her Pacific Palisades home after the devastating wildfires that destroyed her brother Spencer's house.

Speaking to Sky News from London, Stephanie revealed she could not contact anyone to confirm her home’s fate. She said, breaking down in tears, "I just Googled it and it said it’s destroyed an entire block on my street," before adding, "It just looks hopeless right now."

Celebs leave Los Angeles amid devastating wildfire

Actors James Woods and Denise Crosby are among the celebrities who had to flee from their luxurious homes in the ritzy California neighborhood after the wildfire.

Several celebrities joined the 30,000-odd crowd that beelined from the Pacific Palisades neighborhood as the fire broke out on Tuesday morning.

According to Fox, the Palisades fire was driven by the strong Santa Ana winds, that originated from the Santa Monica Mountains. Within an hour it engulfed 200 acres of land which spread to nearly 3,000 acres by sundown.

Since the warning from the authorities, several celebs fled the Pacific Palisades neighborhood with A-listers like Ben Affleck and Tom Hanks calling their home. 



 

Christa Miller shared a drone video of the blazing fire as it continued to rage along the hills and revealed that she was evacuating her place.

Travis Barker's children Alabama and Landon Barker also had to evacuate from their home in the Pacific Palisades. Alabama shared updates on the fire and also shared the necessary helplines required in the catastrophe.
