LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce and Jay-Z have been reportedly left “fuming” after Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori appeared to steal the spotlight at this year's Grammys.

Following four previous Album of the Year snubs, Beyonce finally won the prestigious honor at the 67th Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, February 2.

However, according to sources, the music power couple feels Kanye West and his wife stole their moment at the Grammys following their controversial stunt on the red carpet.

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s friendship with the Wests is ‘truly over’

On Sunday, West -- who currently goes by the name Ye -- and his Yeezy architect wife walked the Grammy red carpet in the Crypto.com Arena, which caused quite a stir online.

While the ‘Donda’ rapper was dressed in an all-black look comprising trousers, T-shirt, sneakers and glasses, Censori wore a heavy fur jacket over her see-through mini dress. But at one point, Censori got rid of her jacket to reveal her transparent dress which she wore with nothing underneath.

As per reports, the risque nature of the stunt did not leave the Carters impressed as they felt it was “designed” to “steal Beyonce's limelight.”

Speaking to RadarOnline, a source revealed that the Roc Nation founder has reportedly been telling his friends that Censori’s look was specifically designed to divert the attention from the ‘Single Ladies’ singer’s success with ‘Cowboy Carter’.

The source revealed that even before the Grammys, Jay-Z and the Yeezy founder were not the best of friends as their feud initially started after the ‘Otis’ hitmaker and his wife didn’t attend West’s 2014 marriage to Kim Kardashian.

The insider revealed, "Jay-Z knows for a fact that Kanye pulled that stunt to steal Beyonce's limelight. No question about it."

“He knew she was going to collect that award and made sure he did all he could do to grab and headlines and it was a case of mission accomplished for Kanye,” shared the source, before reflecting on the effect of the stunt on their equation, “Their relationship can never be mended after this. It is dead."

Moreover, the source noted that Jay-Z has been left awry after he was dragged into fellow rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ controversy.

Reflecting on Jay-Z’s relationship with Beyonce, the insider added, "Things are very tense between the two given the very serious allegations that have been leveled at him.”

"People are wondering how much more their relationship can take but they say they are still fighting and remaining strong for their kids but the last few weeks have been very hard on them and their family, to say the least,” continued the mole, and added, “She is wondering if anything else is about to be sprung on her."

Jay-Z previously ranted against the Recording Academy for not giving Beyonce AOTY

Beyonce was the star of the show at the 67th Grammy Awards with her double win in both the Best Country Album category and the top honor with the Album of the Year Award.

While the achievement is mindboggling in itself, some netizens speculated a connection between her AOTY win and Jay-Z's rant against the Recording Academy last year for not giving his songstress wife the award.

Asking them to "get it right," the billionaire rapper, during his acceptance speech of the Dr Dre Global Impact Award for his achievements in music in 2024, reflected on Beyonce's previous snubs at the AOTY section.

Taking to the stage, Jay-Z noted “how far we’ve come” since Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff won the first rap Grammy in 1989. He added, "We want you to get it right; we love you, but we want you to get it right — at least get it close to right."

The rapper, who was accompanied by his daughter Blue Ivy Carter, continued, “Some of you may get robbed,” adding, “Some of you don’t belong in the category," per The New York Times.

While he accepted that music is "subjective," and “opinion-based," the 'Numb/Encore' rapper opined Beyonce was well overdue for the top honor.

“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” shared Jay-Z, before adding, "So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that: The most Grammys, never won album of the year," per British GQ.
