LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce, the first Black woman to win the Best Country Album award at the Grammys, had a surprising reaction when pop icon Taylor Swift announced her as the winner of the category, and netizens thought it was perfect meme material. 

The 'Halo' singer, who was nominated in 11 categories, also won the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award for her collaboration with Miley Cyrus for the track 'II Most Wanted' before the telecast as well as the Album of the Year award, according to People.

Beyonce, who was visibly stunned at being named the winner of the Best Country Album award for 'Cowboy Carter', began her acceptance speech by saying, "Wow, I want to thank God that I'm able to still do what I love after so many years. Oh, my God, I'd like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this, this album we worked so hard on it." 

The 'Single Ladies' hitmaker continued, "I think sometimes genre is a Cold War to keep us in a place as artists. And I just want to encourage people to do this. Stay persistent."

"Wow, I like to thank my beautiful family, all of the artists that were collaborators. Thank you. This wouldn't have been this album without you. Like to thank God again and my fans. And I still am in shock, thank you so much for this honor," the 43-year-old added.

Beyonce's 'Cowboy Carter' is a blend of a diverse mix of musical genres. Country superstars Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Linda Martell acted as disco jockeys in the conceptualized radio broadcast by the fictional KNTRY Radio Texas, per the outlet.

Moreover, the 27-track album has collaborations with names such as Cyrus, Post Malone, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy, among others.

The instruments are performed by Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Nile Rodgers, Jon Batiste, Gary Clark Jr, and Rhiannon Giddens on different tracks, according to People.
