Bill Maher defends age-gap relationships as he takes a dig at older women amid links with Al Pacino's ex

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Comedian and 'Real Time' host Bill Maher is unapologetically standing by age gaps in relationships after being spotted with Al Pacino’s 31-year-old ex-girlfriend, Noor Alfallah.

The 68-year-old addressed the topic during an appearance on the 'Fly on the Wall' podcast, hosted by Dana Carvey and David Spade, just months after he was spotted cruising around Los Angeles with Alfallah.

Without naming Noor Alfallah, Bill Maher humorously floated the idea of starring in a season of ABC’s 'The Golden Bachelor'—with a twist.

“But like our real lives, not with an age-appropriate woman, because that’s boring,” Maher quipped. “The appropriate age for a relationship is one that works.”

Maher, who has a history of dating younger women, didn’t hold back when addressing critics of his romantic preferences.

On another note, speaking on the 'Him & Her' podcast in October 2024, he acknowledged that his dating choices might raise eyebrows.

"Not just perceived, they literally are [unorthodox],” he said, before adding, “The people who are pissed off at that, f**k you. You do you, I do me. You do what works for you."

Despite joking about joining 'The Golden Bachelor', Maher clarified that he wasn’t interested if it involved women his age.

Suggesting a spin on 'The Golden Bachelor' he asked, “Don’t you think that would be a great show? But with women that David [Spade] and I are attracted to. And that doesn’t make us bad people,” he said.

Maher also highlighted a perceived double standard regarding age gaps in relationships. “When [women] do it, it’s empowering. When men do it, we’re perverts,” he remarked, referencing Kate Beckinsale’s relationship with Pete Davidson, who was 20 years her junior.

Noor Alfallah’s high-profile dating history 

While Bill Maher has faced scrutiny for his dating life, Noor Alfallah, too, has often made headlines for her relationships with much older, influential men.

The 31-year-old, who recently welcomed a child with Al Pacino, 84, is known for her romantic history with high-profile older partners.

In 2017, Alfallah dated Mick Jagger when she was 22 and he was 79. Reflecting on their relationship, she told Hello, “Our ages didn’t matter to me. The heart doesn’t know what it sees; it only knows what it feels.”

Her relationship with Jagger was followed by rumored ties to Clint Eastwood, 91, in 2019—though she clarified they were “just family friends.”

She also dated billionaire Nicolas Berggruen, now 61, in 2018 and was linked to 'Hostel' director Eli Roth, 51, in the same year.

Despite speculation surrounding Alfallah and Maher’s outings, she has previously stated that they are “just friends.”

Meanwhile, she was seen dining with her ex, Al Pacino, in West Hollywood this week, sparking further curiosity about her relationships.

She even took to her Instagram to share pictures, writing, "The Apprentice."
