Brad Pitt’s relocation to France entirely driven by his and ex Angelina Jolie’s children, claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brad Pitt and ex-wife Angelina Jolie have been at odds for years over custody of their children and their French winery, Chateau Miraval. The most recent strike is that Pitt has officially left Los Angeles and moved to Europe.
Although there are several reasons for the actor's sudden move to France, sources claimed that one was related to his six estranged children, whom he shares with Jolie.
Brad Pitt 'haunted' by being so close to his estranged children in LA
According to insiders who spoke to InTouch Weekly, Brad Pitt moved to France, where he now resides with his best friend George Clooney, his wife Amal Clooney, and their twins.
Despite being embroiled in a court dispute with Jolie over Chateau Miraval, the 'Fight Club' actor is said to have moved into the French winery.
The 60-year-old was devastated to learn that his daughter Shiloh, 18, had followed at least four other members of his six-child brood by officially dropping his name.
Now, an insider revealed that the heartbroken father has left Los Angeles and sought refuge in the French countryside, where he spends time with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 34, and friend Clooney.
The source revealed, "In LA, Brad was haunted by being so close to his kids and yet so far. He’s now saying a change of scenery might be what his mind needs, at least until they start wanting to spend time with him again."
In addition, Pitt has been opposing Jolie's choice to sell her ownership of Miraval, which he meant to leave as a legacy for his children.
"It’s a big reason why he’s so furious with Angelina. He’s passionate about it," the source added.
The former power couple purchased the $60 million mansion Chateau Miraval back in 2011, and per Architectural Digest, Pitt purchased a residence in Los Feliz in 2023. It is not known if Pitt has since sold the house or if it is vacant because he primarily resides in France.
Jolie and Pitt are parents to six children: Maddox Jolie, Pax Jolie, Zahara Jolie, Shiloh Jolie, and the twins Knox and Vivienne Jolie.
More rumors of alienation have been sparked by Maddox and Pax's public statements regarding their estranged father and the official removal of "Pitt" from everyone's last name—aside from Knox.
Brad Pitt is 'very happy' with Ines de Ramon
According to reports, Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon spent the summer at Chateau Miraval, the French winery that he formerly shared with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt has maintained a low profile with de Ramon ever since they started dating, dividing their time with solo travels such as a trip to Lake Como to meet George Clooney.
Pitt and de Ramon enjoyed a laid-back summer at Chateau Miraval, as reported by Page Six.
Pitt has not only rekindled his love but also strengthened his relationship with de Ramon. According to People, insiders close to the 60-year-old actor-producer confirmed that he and de Ramon's relationship has progressed from dating to a "serious" stage.
The source revealed that de Ramon is "great for" Pitt and that the Hollywood icon is "still very happy with" his new girlfriend, saying he "loves so many things about her."
The insider said that since the pair moved in together, "things have been amazing," before adding, "It's more of a serious relationship than just dating."
The pair was first spotted together at a Bono concert in November 2022 in Los Angeles, despite a source's claims that they had already "been dating for a few months."
Certain media speculated that the actor has been exercising caution so as not to annoy Jolie. Another insider, though, claimed Pitt enjoys his privacy.
A source told Page Six of Pitt, "He is living his life. Angelina has already done the worst thing she can do, which is to separate the kids from their father."
