NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Beyonce has once again proven her mastery of viral marketing with a daring and unauthorized promotional stunt that has set the internet ablaze.

In a move that caught New York City's most esteemed cultural institutions off guard, the global superstar emblazoned the facades of the Guggenheim, the Whitney, the New Museum, and the Museum of Arts and Design with striking visuals and provocative messages promoting her highly anticipated country album, 'Cowboy Carter', as per New York Post.

The guerrilla tactics, executed without the museums' knowledge or consent, have sparked a firestorm of reactions across social media.

Beyonce has used museums for promotional purposes in the past

The Guggenheim's iconic spiral was emblazoned with the provocative message, "This ain't a country album. This is a 'Beyoncé' album."

While the museum expressed surprise, stating they were "not informed" and "did not authorize this activation," they extended an invitation to Beyonce and her fans to visit during a forthcoming exhibition by artist Jenny Holzer.

The remaining three museums were treated to striking visuals of the Grammy winner atop a white horse, adorned in patriotic attire and holding an American flag.

The Museum of Arts and Design, though "not involved" in the stunt, expressed excitement at Beyonce's recognition of museums' cultural importance and her influence in opening doors for "Black creativity."

The Whitney Museum, caught off guard by the megastar's guerrilla tactics, extended its best wishes for the album and left an open invitation for her to attend the Whitney Biennial. However, it remains uncertain whether Beyonce intends to accept the invitation.

Beyonce has a history of utilizing museums for promotional purposes, as evidenced by her 2018 music video for 'Apes**t' filmed at the Louvre in Paris alongside her husband Jay-Z.
