Christina Hall tearfully reveals her children urged her to leave Josh Hall
The footage featured Tarek El Moussa visiting Christina Hall, who appeared visibly distraught. Concerned, he asked her, “You good?” Christina responded, “No. … Josh and I officially split up.”
She continued, “We had a blowup ... middle fingers in my face. Things with Josh have been bad for a long time.”
Christina, who shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9, with El Moussa, revealed that her children had played a pivotal role in her decision to leave Josh.
“The kids literally asked me to leave,” she recalled tearfully. “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”
She described feeling trapped in an unending cycle of turmoil.
“I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time, and I just can’t get out of it. Everything, since like 2016, has been so hard and so horrible. It’s really taken a really bad toll on me.”
Christina and El Moussa announced their separation in December 2016 after seven years of marriage, finalizing their divorce in 2018.
Despite their split, the two continued to co-star on HGTV’s hit show 'Flip or Flop' for 10 seasons, working together until 2022.
Hall has a total of three children, her oldest child, Taylor and Brayden with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and Hudson, youngest child, with her ex-husband Ant Anstead.
Christina Hall’s tumultuous love life and series of divorces
Following her divorce from Tarek El Moussa, Christina Hall married British television host Ant Anstead in December 2018.
The couple welcomed their son Hudson in 2019 but separated in September 2020, with Christina filing for divorce two months later.
The aftermath of her marriage to Anstead included a bitter custody battle over Hudson.
Though they initially shared joint custody, Anstead filed for full custody in April 2022, alleging Christina had spent limited time with their son.
Eventually, the two reached a settlement in December 2022, maintaining joint custody. Their relationship gradually improved, and they even began following each other on Instagram again.
In the clip from 'The Flip Off', Christina also apologized to El Moussa for past conflicts. “I’m really sorry for s*** too. I really am,” she told him. “I just want you to know.”

El Moussa, who married 'Selling Sunset' star Heather Rae Young in October 2021, empathized with her struggles.
“I understand that feeling of feeling a little bit lost,” he replied. “And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.”
Although Christina and El Moussa initially faced challenges in their post-divorce relationship, they eventually established a solid friendship and successfully co-parented their two children.
Christina Hall’s ex Josh Hall axed from new show as Ant Anstead joins 'The Flip Off'
Josh Hall had originally been slated to star alongside Christina in 'The Flip Off', a show designed to pit the pair against Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young in a real estate flipping competition.
However, production began shortly before Christina and Josh filed for divorce on July 7, leading to his removal from the project.
A source later confirmed that Christina, El Moussa, and Heather would proceed with the show without him.
In August, Christina was spotted filming a scene for 'The Flip Off' with Ant Anstead. A source confirmed that Anstead was participating in a portion of the show, marking another milestone in their improved relationship.
During a conversation with Backgrid, Christina reflected on her decision to follow Anstead again on Instagram.
“Ant and I share Hudson ... and I feel like he deserves to have us get along,” she explained.
She also expressed gratitude for her co-parenting relationship with El Moussa and Heather. “Tarek, Heather and I get along really well. It’s been really nice to co-parent with them,” she shared.
