LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Forty-seven years after his death, Elvis Presley is set to return to the stage - as an AI hologram.

A new immersive experience titled 'Elvis Evolution' will open in London this November, promising audiences a "jaw-dropping" concert by a life-sized digital version of the King of Rock and Roll, as reported by New York Post.

But fans online have expressed disappointment, saying attempt to resurrect the dead music icon via technology is unsettling.

Elvis Presley died in 1977 after suffering a heart failure at age of 47

Presley died in 1977 at just 42 years old, leaving behind a towering legacy. With his hip-shaking dance moves, sultry voice and boyish good looks, he took the music world by storm in the 1950s and almost single-handedly brought rock and roll into the mainstream.

Hits like 'Heartbreak Hotel' and 'Jailhouse Rock' made him an icon who still adorns memorabilia worldwide today.

His unexpected death from heart failure shocked fans but did not diminish his popularity - if anything, it burnished his myth. Recently, there has been a revival of interest in Presley's life story, with two major Hollywood productions exploring his rise to superstardom as well as his relationship with wife Priscilla Beaulieu.

Baz Luhrmann's 'Elvis' starring Austin Butler opened last summer to critical acclaim, while Sofia Coppola's 'Priscilla' with Jacob Elordi recently hit theatres. Just last month, Presley made headlines again when his 'Blue Christmas' re-entered music charts for the first time since 1977.

UK-based Layered Reality promises a 'jaw-dropping' digital Elvis Presley

With public interest booming, UK-based Layered Reality has announced 'Elvis Evolution,' which they bill as a "memory-making experience like no other." Using artificial intelligence and "groundbreaking" technology, audiences will witness Presley performances rendered in lifelike digital form.

At the climax, a full-scale AI Presley will appear for an "iconic" concert, accompanied by visuals from his personal life.

This innovative spectacle follows closely behind the success of 'ABBA Voyage,' a hit London show employing digital avatars of the legendary band.

'Elvis Evolution' will embark on a global tour following its London launch, traveling to Las Vegas, Berlin, and Tokyo.
