Trump hosted Orban for the second time this year at Mar-a-Lago. Orban has been widely criticized for Hungary's democratic decline, however, he is a powerful ally of former President Trump and is revered by many American conservatives.
Early in March, Trump had a meeting with the Hungarian autocrat who has expressed admiration for the former US leader.
Following the meeting, Viktor Orbán declared that he and Trump agreed on the war in Ukraine and that if elected for a second term, the ex-president would not contribute "a single penny" to Kyiv.

The former POTUS has often stated that if reelected, he would be able to end the war, but he has provided no strategy or specifics for his plan, and detractors claim that this would imply compelling Ukraine to cede territory to Moscow.
At the NATO summit, President Joe Biden and other international leaders reaffirmed their support for Ukraine's war against Russia.
