Donald Trump's son Barron already has 2044 presidential merchandise, Internet calls it 'White privilege'
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former president Donald Trump is the lone Trump family member eligible for the upcoming November ballot, but despite this, there is already presidential merchandise being produced for his youngest son, Barron Trump, according to Newsweek.
T-shirts, pins, and notebooks featuring Barron Trump's name and his potential 2044 presidential candidacy have started to prop up at the ex-POTUS' campaign rallies and on various online platforms.
It's important to note that Barron won't meet the age requirement for the US presidency until 2041 when he turns 35, making the 2044 election the first opportunity for him to run for the White House.
Some ever-ardent supporters of Donald Trump have been seen donning shirts with Barron's image and the slogan "Barron 2044" on the front.
There are also "Barron Trump for President 2044" buttons available on eBay, as well as notebooks with the same slogan for purchase on Amazon.
What prompted Barron Trump's early foray into world of politics?
Barron Trump is Donald Trump's youngest child and the only one he shares with his wife and former first lady Melania Trump. His parents have largely sheltered him from the world of politics and the prying eyes of the media.
When his father was elected as the 45th President of the United States in 2016, Barron was just 10 years old.
The Republican National Committee extended an invitation for Barron to serve as a Florida delegate at its convention this year, which was also where his father was officially nominated as the 2024 Republican presidential candidate for the third consecutive time.
However, Melania's office conveyed that Barron "regretfully" declined the offer due to "prior commitments."
Barron Trump was notably absent from last month's GOP convention in Milwaukee. Even though his father had previously said he was "all for" Barron participating as a delegate if he wished; during his speech, former president Trump acknowledged his youngest son's absence, expressing to the audience, "Barron, we love our Barron."
In May, Barron graduated from Oxbridge Academy, a private high school in West Palm Beach. The family has confirmed that he will be attending college in the fall but has not yet disclosed where he will be studying.
There is speculation that he may follow the path of his siblings, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Don Jr, by potentially enrolling at the University of Pennsylvania. Notably, Donald Trump also graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
At a rally on July 9 where Barron Trump made his first campaign appearance, Donald Trump announced, "He's now going to college, got into every college he wanted to," adding, "He made his choice and he is a very good guy."
The crowd in Florida gave Barron Trump a standing ovation when his father introduced him.
Despite being less prominent in the public eye compared to his siblings, the 78-year-old MAGA figurehead mentioned in May that the 18-year-old "likes politics" and occasionally offers his father advice, which he amusingly described as "sort of funny."
During the Trump presidency, Donald Trump's three oldest children, Ivanka, Don Jr, and Eric, played active roles and served as advisors to their father. Whether Barron would assume a similar role in his father's administration if he is reelected in November remains uncertain.
