TJ Holmes asks Amy Robach if she misses out on getting the opportunity
During an episode of their 'Amy and TJ' podcast, on Thursday, April 18, Robach and guest Cheryl Burke were discussing the daunting prospect of reentering the dating scene.
“TJ says this to me, ‘Don’t you want to date? Are you missing out on getting that opportunity to date?’ And I was like, ‘Getting the opportunity to date? Ew,'” Robach recalled the conversation with Holmes on the podcast.
“That is the last thing I want to do. Awkward first dates? No," Robach recounted.
TJ Holmes’ question leaves Amy Robach puzzled
The group found humor in Robach’s recollection, but Robach admitted to being “confused” as to why Holmes even posed such a question, according to Us Weekly.
Holmes, 46, also made light of the situation, saying, “These are the conversations we have."
"Her boyfriend says to her, ‘Are you sure you don’t want to date?’ You are free, you have an opportunity now. I’m just saying," Holmes added.
Amy Robach and TJ Holmes fell in love despite being married to their respective spouses
Before finding love with Holmes, Robach was married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2009 and they had two daughters Ava and Annalise.
After their split, Robach moved on with Andrew Shue, marrying him in 2010 and blending their families.
However, Robach’s relationship with Shue ended after she was seen spending time with Holmes outside of work in November 2022.
Holmes, who was married to Marilee Fiebig at the time, filed for divorce in December 2022 after the "scandal" got exposed. 'GMA' also fired the pair following backlash.
TJ Holmes gets frustrated when Amy Robach is away from him
Holmes confessed that he becomes frustrated when he and Robach are apart.“I have said this to you plenty of times. I get not pissed [but] I get really frustrated when we are, not apart, but actually apart and traveling apart,” he said on Friday, April 12, podcast episode.
He added that he feels anxious “that something is going to happen” to Robach when she is away from him.
“It is not a matter of missing you,” he clarified, adding “I miss you when you go to the bathroom. I hate when we travel apart for long periods of time.”
