WASHINGTON, DC: The Republican National Committee sparked intense mockery online by hiring Elizabeth Pipko, a 28-year-old MAGA-backing bikini model, as its new national spokesperson, according to New York Post.

Pipko, a New York native and daughter of Russian-Jewish immigrants, traded her modeling career and racy photoshoots to take on the high-profile role of being the public face and voice for the rebranded RNC's efforts to re-elect former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

RNC's decision to hire Elizabeth Pipko comes shortly after significant restructuring

Pipko, born to immigrant parents who escaped religious persecution, expressed admiration for Donald Trump's resilience in a conversation with The Post. "The things he's been through have been unreal. A lot of people look at what he's up against every day and see his real character," she said of the 77-year-old former president.

The RNC's decision to hire Pipko came in the wake of a significant restructuring within the organization. In March, longtime chair Ronna McDaniel was ousted, paving the way for new co-chairs Michael Whatley and Lara Trump.

According to New York Times, the new leadership team oversaw the termination of approximately 60 employees, signaling a bold pivot in the RNC's strategy.

With a laser focus on fundraising, bolstering what Donald called "election integrity," and launching "the most aggressive early voter turnout campaign ever," the RNC positioned itself as "one unified operation" with Trump's MAGA campaign.

Elizabeth Pipko has degrees from Harvard and UPenn

With Ivy League degrees from Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, and three published books under her belt, Pipko pursued a modeling career alongside, gracing the pages of Maxim, Esquire, and Sports Illustrated.

In her new role as a national spokesperson, Pipko expressed excitement about the opportunity to "make a difference" in what she deemed was "one of the biggest elections in this country's history."

Lara Trump praised Pipko's hiring, stating, "At a time when patriotism among young Americans sits at record lows, we are lucky to have great Americans like Elizabeth Pipko on our team — she will help to inspire the next generation, rebuild the grand old party, and bring our country back."

Internet mocks RNC for hiring Elizabeth Pipko

The Internet swiftly reacted to the news of Pipko's hiring, with many users roasting the RNC for the decision. One X user commented, "Maga realizes their cult is shallow," while another quipped, "MAGA is a joke! The world laughs at them!"

A user criticized the move, saying, "The washed up TV show host and his club of ‘everything’s fake’ want to turn the Republican campaign and America into a Kardashians-type reality TV show." Meanwhile, a fourth remarked, "Next they’ll be holding the Republican convention at a Hooters."

A fifth user chimed in, "Could not be more on-brand for today's Republican party." Someone else wrote, "The GOP is an absolute clown show." Another user noted, "Nothing says competence and seriousness as hiring a bikini model to speak for you." A user mentioned, "The spiral downward continues."
