Elon Musk and Barron Trump bond over space exploration during Thanksgiving dinner
Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX and Tesla, has established himself as a mainstay at the incoming president's Florida estate, frequently showing up in pictures, including a prominent position in a portrait of the Trump family.
"They do get along well. I think Trump just likes someone he can completely trust who doesn't have any alternative motives," Maye Musk, Elon's mother, told Neil Cavuto of Fox Business on Thursday, December 12.
Elon was seen sitting next to Donald and Barron on Thanksgiving Day. Barron and her son had a lengthy discussion about interplanetary travel, Maye disclosed.
She said, "At the Thanksgiving dinner, Barron and Elon were talking planets. [Barron's] 18 years old. They were discussing all the different planets and why Mars is the best place to start a new civilization. And I was very impressed with him, too."
Maye added, "Days after the dinner, Elon said that he and Barron were discussing 'consciousness and video games'."
Elon Musk’s mother praises Donald Trump’s honesty and kindness
Elon Muk's mother told Neil Cavuto that Donald Trump has been "honest" about his proposals and that her son, with an empire of $400 billion, wants "to do good things" for America.
"I think Trump just wants everything to be honest and open so that you know where your tax dollars are going. He's not going to be mean to people," she said.
"When I see him, he just seems happy that he can make changes that will improve the [lives] of Americans… I think we're all going to be happier," she added.
Speaking about the Trump family, Maye called them "kind" and stated that she would like to spend more time with Melania Trump, the incoming first lady.
"Everyone is delightful, kind, sweet, generous, interesting and soft-spoken, which is interesting because, as politicians, you can talk loud," she remarked. "And I've met Melania. I'm looking forward to spending more time with her, too."
Her disclosures follow rumors that Elon is preparing to purchase real estate close to Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence and has made a record-breaking offer of $100 million for a large penthouse.
