WASHINGTON, DC: Eric Trump has shared that his sister Ivanka once had a major crush on none other than Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose, a vocal critic of their father, Donald Trump

The unexpected detail comes from Eric’s new memoir, 'Under Siege', which hit shelves on October 14. According to Eric, a young Ivanka even kept a signed poster of the rock legend on her bedroom wall.

Notably, Rose is described as sporting tattoos, a bandana, ripped jeans, and a leather jacket, an image that starkly contrasts with the Trump family’s style.

Eric Trump reveals Ivanka’s first crush was Axl Rose

In his new memoir, Eric Trump revealed that Ivanka Trump’s first celebrity crush was none other than Axl Rose, the frontman of Guns N’ Roses, a rock icon known for his fierce criticism of their father, Donald Trump.

Eric recalled, “She had a signed Axl Rose poster in her room in Trump Tower, her first crush, with tattoos, the trademark bandanna tied around his head, ripped jeans, and leather jacket.”

He remembered a specific moment from last November, on Election Day, when they were flying as a family from Michigan to Palm Beach aboard Trump Force One.

As 'November Rain' played over the speakers, Eric noted how fitting the moment felt, given Ivanka’s longtime admiration for the band.

Growing up, Ivanka became a fan of 'Guns N’ Roses' as the band climbed to fame in the 1980s and 90s with hits like Paradise City and 'You Could Be Mine.' She spent her teen years in the 90s and later graduated from the elite boarding school Choate Rosemary Hall in 2000.

Ivanka Trump’s teen crush’s outspoken remarks about Donald Trump

Despite Ivanka’s teenage admiration for Axl Rose, the Guns N’ Roses frontman has repeatedly criticized her father, Donald Trump. After Trump became the 45th President of the United States in 2016 and secured a second term in late 2024, Rose made his opposition loud and public.

In December 2016, while Trump was still president-elect, Rose mocked him during a concert in Mexico City by inviting fans onstage to destroy a piñata shaped like Trump. The singer didn’t stop there.

In 2018, after Ivanka defended her father amid accusations of inappropriate behavior, Rose publicly lashed out at her.

When Ivanka told NBC News that it was inappropriate to ask a daughter if she believed the accusations against her father, Axl fired back on Twitter, “What's inappropriate is Ivanka Trump being part of the White House administration."

That same year, Rose took another jab when Trump met with rapper Kanye West. He tweeted, “What a joke. Not gonna solve anything in Chicago or anywhere else with any of that attention seeking nonsense.”

In 2020, Rose openly expressed his deep disdain for the Trump administration. In a tweet, he wrote, “My disdain 4 r current administration n' what I perceive as its threat to r democracy is no secret.”

He emphasized that although he rarely used social media, he felt a personal obligation to speak out. “'I have. ... my political or social issue posts rn't about me. They're about the issue.” he said, explaining that his statements stemmed from outrage and a sense of civic responsibility, not a desire for attention.

“I’m just a citizen with opinions,” he continued, “believes in my heart that ultimately I want what's best for not just r country but for humanity... 'Wildlife n' r environment n' other's as opposed to right, left or any other wing fascism r at least in this country free to disagree.” Rose concluded by acknowledging, "Perhaps a strong or perhaps considered by some a lewd or immature response or opinion. It happens."

Also in 2020, Guns N’ Roses mocked Trump with a T-shirt that read Live N’ Let Die with COVID 45, a piece of merchandise fans could buy.
