PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Eric Trump says the FBI raid, indictments, and years of political attacks were all worth it now that his father is back in the White House.
While giving Fox News’ Steve Doocy an exclusive live tour of Mar-a-Lago during 'Fox & Friends,' Eric previewed his new book, 'Under Siege,' which tells the story of the challenges his family faced on the way to Donald Trump’s 2024 victory.
The two discussed the 2022 FBI raid on the Florida estate and the president’s recent success in brokering a historic Gaza peace deal. Eric called the tough years leading up to his father’s comeback a true test, but one that paid off in the end.
Eric Trump on FBI raid, political attacks, and Trump’s comeback

Eric Trump spoke to Fox News’ Steve Doocy on Tuesday, saying political opponents tried everything to destroy his family.
“They wanted to impeach us. They had the dirty dossiers, they had the smears, they had countless indictments,” he said. “They tried to silence our voice, the gag orders, they were taking us off of every social media platform, taking him off of ballots in every state. I mean, we probably spent $400 million defending ourselves against absolutely nothing because they wanted to take us down.”
He said their enemies did everything possible to hurt his father, trying to imprison him, bankrupt the family, and weaken him ahead of the election to help Joe Biden.
“They were doing everything humanly possible to try and take down my father, to try to destroy him, to try and imprison him, to try to bankrupt us, to do everything they could to give Joe Biden an advantage in the election, including coming through that gate right there and raiding this house,” he added.
He pointed toward the gate, referring to the FBI’s 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago during a classified documents investigation. That case later collapsed after a judge ruled the special counsel’s appointment unlawful, fueling claims of politically motivated legal attacks.
Now, more than three years later, Trump has returned to the White House and recently signed a historic peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.
“I'm watching my father yesterday, and you have the most iconic peace deal ever,” Eric Trump said. “The siege, the hell that they put us through, the way they tried to destroy our lives… after seeing what happened yesterday, honestly, it's all worth it. The entire world is proud of him. And, certainly as a son, I'm incredibly proud of him.”
Eric Trump compares Mar-a-Lago to White House
In a Fox News segment, Eric Trump gave host Steve Doocy a tour of Mar-a-Lago, pointing out features that mirror parts of the White House. He showed Doocy the beach club and proudly noted that the umbrellas there are the same ones used in the White House’s Rose Garden.

“What a fantastic view across the street, that is the beach club,” Doocy said, gesturing toward the lounge area. Eric confirmed, “Exact same umbrellas as the Rose Garden.”
He then pointed to a large flagpole nearby and added, “And by the way, see that beautiful flag pole right there? Exact same flag pole we have at the White House.”
Eric explained that his father had called him and said, “Honey, I got two great flag poles, I want to donate them to the White House. And now we're very happy to have the same Mar-a-Lago flag pole on the south and north grounds.”
The interview aired shortly after President Trump hosted a private Rose Garden reopening dinner for top allies, Cabinet members, and GOP lawmakers. The redesigned garden now features a paved patio over the JFK-era lawn, complete with white-and-yellow umbrellas and tall flagpoles mirroring the look of Mar-a-Lago.
