Fact Check: Was an arrest warrant issued for Ellen DeGeneres in connection with Diddy’s ongoing trial?

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A claim has been going around the internet that Ellen DeGeneres was slapped with an arrest warrant during Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial.
A YouTube video, titled "Judge Orders Ellen DeGeneres Arrest After tWitch’s Recording Is Played in Diddy’s Trial" has gone viral with some pretty outrageous claims. According to the clip, a judge supposedly issued an arrest warrant for Ellen right after a mysterious recording by the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss was played in court.

Join us as we break down the shocking revelations, the tense courtroom atmosphere, and what this could mean for Ellen, tWitch, and Diddy’s already chaotic legal battle.”
Fact Check: There's no proof that a judge ordered an arrest warrant for Ellen DeGeneres
It's important to note that there is zero evidence that Ellen DeGeneres has been summoned, arrested, or even mentioned during Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial. The viral video that’s making these claims is total fiction, and no legitimate source has backed it up.
Searches on Google and Bing show zero relevant results and no major news outlet has reported on such claims.
It's worth noting that there’s no mention of Boss in any official legal documents from Diddy’s September 2024 arrest. The same goes for DeGeneres, who is nowhere to be found in any part of the ongoing investigation or court proceedings.

The trial has already been the subject of multiple fact-checks, and this isn’t the first time such wild claims have spun out of control.
Previous false claims about Samuel L Jackson and Steve Harvey surrounding Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial
A recent post floating around social media claimed that Samuel L Jackson took the stand in federal court and testified against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging that the music mogul groomed Lori Harvey, with her stepfather Steve Harvey allegedly playing a role.
One post even declared, “In a jaw-dropping twist that has left the courtroom reeling, Samuel L Jackson has reportedly taken the stand and made a bombshell accusation — claiming Diddy groomed Lori Harvey, and that her stepfather, Steve Harvey, may have played a role. The shocking testimony has sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry and social media, as the Harvey family’s reputation is suddenly thrown into question.”
However, none of that actually happened. Snopes did a deep dive into the claims and confirmed there is no evidence that Jackson ever testified. A thorough Google and DuckDuckGo search turns up nothing from any credible source.
The same goes for Steve. It's true that Diddy and Lori were reportedly a thing at one point, but there’s no proof that Steve was involved in anything remotely related to the case, nor was he even mentioned during the trial.
What’s actually going on with Sean 'Diddy' Combs' case?
Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024, on charges of trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, among other charges.
According to the indictment, Diddy allegedly forced women into various compromising acts, often hiding behind fake romantic relationships. He’s also accused of using his influence in the industry to keep everything under wraps. The alleged abuse and coercion go all the way back to 2009 and include disturbing claims of physical abuse and intimidation.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. His federal criminal trial is currently underway and is expected to last several more weeks. Till now, over 16 witnesses, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, rapper Kid Cudi, and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, have taken the stand to testify against him.
If convicted on all counts, Diddy could face up to life in prison.
