LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Usher is bringing the captivating stories behind his chart-dominating hits to the small screen.

The music icon known for smash singles like 'Yeah!' and 'OMG' has announced plans to executive produce an original drama series inspired by his discography of passionate R&B love songs.

Titled 'My Way' after his breakout 1997 album, the show promises to showcase the triumphs and tribulations of relationships, spotlighting "black love in Atlanta" against the backdrop of Usher’s most emotive music, as reported by Variety.

With the singer’s impressive 30-year catalog as its foundation, fans are already abuzz with excitement about seeing the Grammy winner’s evocative lyrics brought to dramatic life when 'My Way' hits television.

With over 150 million records sold worldwide, Usher is one of the most successful R&B artists of all time. Since bursting onto the music scene in 1994 with his self-titled debut album at age 16, he has unleashed a string of monumental hits over nine studio albums, including 'You Make Me Wanna,' 'U Got It Bad,' 'Yeah!' and 'OMG.'

The singer has won a total of eight Grammy Awards in a career full of accolades, including being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016 at just 38 years old.

Usher promises 'My Way' will allow fans to truly experience his songs

Limited information has been disclosed thus far regarding the specific plot or characters envisioned for 'My Way.' However, Usher assures that the series will offer fans an authentic experience of witnessing his songs brought to life on screen.

"My 30-year catalog has resonated with so many people no matter where they were in their lives," the R&B icon said. "I'm happy to be working with UCP to bring the music to life. I hope the series resonates with you the way my music continues to."

Usher will serve as an executive producer for the show alongside producer Selwyn Seyfu Hinds and Kenny Meiselas of KMei Productions. Katie Zucker of Mad Massive Entertainment is also involved in the project as an executive producer.

The show's logline unveils that it will be situated in Atlanta and will highlight "music, style, sex, romance, and secrets that endanger relationships."
