HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro launched a pointed critique at former President Donald Trump on Monday, June 10, accusing him of “whining” about the state of the nation as the November election approaches, as per The Hill.

During an interview on MSNBC’s 'Inside with Jen Psaki,' Shapiro, one of President Joe Biden’s key surrogates, discussed the implications of Trump’s recent conviction in his hush-money case and how it might affect the upcoming election.

Shapiro admitted uncertainty about the outcome of Trump’s sentencing next month but emphasized that Trump’s rhetoric was divisive and unproductive. "All they hear from Donald Trump is a whole bunch of whining about this country. I think Donald Trump’s got to quit whining, quit trying to divide us," Shapiro told Psaki.

Highlighting the Biden administration’s achievements, Shapiro asserted, "We’re producing more energy than ever before in this nation. We have the strongest economy in the world, and we are beating China for the first time in decades. More people went to work this morning in America than any other time in our nation’s history."

Shapiro passionately argued for Biden’s re-election, outlining the key priorities for Pennsylvanians: good schools, safe communities, economic opportunities, and the protection of freedoms.

"And you know what? I think they want to be led by someone who is honest and decent — someone who’s actually on their side like Joe Biden," Shapiro added.

His remarks come as Trump continues to criticize the state of the nation under Biden, often describing it as "a nation in decline." However, Shapiro countered this narrative, asserting that the US remains the "greatest" country in the world and that Pennsylvanians recognize the country’s strengths.

"So, I got a message to Donald Trump and all of his negativity and whining: Stop s**t talking America. This is the greatest country on Earth, and it’s time that we all start acting like it. The good people of Pennsylvania understand that this is a great country and that we got a whole lot going for us," Shapiro said on MSNBC.

According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index, Biden is currently trailing Trump in Pennsylvania by a narrow margin, with 46.1 percent to Trump’s 47.8 percent. However, Shapiro’s staunch support and vocal advocacy for Biden could play a crucial role in swaying voters in this key swing state.

Josh Shapiro’s remarks about Donald Trump resonate strongly online

Shapiro’s remarks resonated strongly online, with many social media users echoing his sentiments. One user on Facebook commented, "Will never understand why Americans think someone who is constantly whining, airing his grievances, and claims to be a victim for being held accountable for all of his illegal and immoral actions would make a great leader."

Another user remarked, "That’s what Trump does best: whine and complain about how unfair everything is for him. Then he bad mouths our country, degrades our institutions trying to say he’s the only one who can fix anything."

Further amplifying Shapiro’s criticism, a third user wrote, "Whining is the one thing Felonious Trump has in common with his cult worshippers. It’s one of the ways he has assumed complete control over them."

A fourth added, "Of course, Trump likes to whine. He is the ultimate victim and has to set the example for his cult." One user noted, "Whining is much easier than coming up with actual ideas for how to do things better. You would think Trump’s time in office would have given him some knowledge, but he’s still the same old ‘poor little me’ who is full of hot air."

Another user quipped, "If Trump worked as hard as he cries, he might actually accomplish something." A seventh user stated, "Trump's whining is bratty and irrelevant to adult voters with brains who are so utterly bored with his endless self-pitying complaints."

Lastly, a user said, "All Trump and his moronic supporters do is whine. When they're not trying to violently overturn the results of a free and fair election, of course."
