LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have hard launched their romance after they were spotted walking hand-in-hand during a date night on January 6.

After months of speculation about a romance between the ‘The Music Man’ co-stars, the duo confirmed their romance on Monday evening after People Magazine obtained photos of them walking and basking in their love for each other.

The ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ star was dressed casually in white trousers, a grey tee, and a black zip-up jacket for the date night. Foster, who is fresh out of her success of the Broadway revival and Los Angeles show of ‘Once Upon a Mattress’, was dressed impeccably in an olive column dress and a tan trench coat.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s romance blooms after their respective divorces

The latest photos of Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster appeared to confirm the rumor which was long speculated by the couple’s fans.

Their romance unfurled following the Tony-winning stars’ respective divorces from their former spouses, which started in 2023 when the ‘Logan’ actor parted ways from his wife of three decades, Deborra-Lee Furness in September of the same year.

In a statement shared with People, Jackman and his Australian actress ex shared a joint statement to announce their split and revealed that their family - including their children Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19 - remained their priority.

They shared, "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," before adding, "Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

On the other hand, Sutton, 49, filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, 54, in October 2024.

While it is known when the ‘Van Helsing’ actor and Sutton Foster’s romance blossomed, they met during the 2022 revival of ‘The Music Man’. Soon, the co-stars became friends as Foster once gushed in an interview about making new friends after 40.

As the pair took on ‘The Music Man’s leading roles, Marian and Harold, Foster gushed about the Aussie actor during an interview with Vogue in 2022.

“He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest working man, incredibly kind, and generous—and all of that is true,” Sutton shared before adding, “He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, ‘Well, I hope we get along.’ But we just spent Memorial Day with our families. It’s really fun to meet new friends after 40.”

In May 2022, the couple made a joint appearance on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ to promote ‘The Music Man’, when the actress shared, "The show is so joyful, and I’m having the time of my life playing opposite this guy."

Jackman, too, praised poetics about working with Foster, as he said at the show, “This is a six-time Tony nominee, two-time winner. Like, I saw her do 'Thoroughly Modern Millie’ when you were like 4 years old. But I’ve watched everything she's done," before noting, "It’s amazing."

Speaking to People at the 2024 Drama Desk Awards in June, Foster further praised the ‘X-Men’ star, "He's one of the greatest guys ever, an incredible co-star."
