MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Former US President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday, February 15, where Justice Juan Merchan will address any outstanding pretrial issues and confirm whether the proceedings will commence as arranged.

The trial, which relates to the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s "hush money" criminal case, is the first of four criminal cases that Trump faces as he seeks to regain the White House in November 2024, according to the New York Post.

Meanwhile, a highly anticipated decision is expected on Friday in New York Attorney General Letitia James' civil case against the ex-POTUS as he stands accused of exaggerating his net worth by billions of dollars annually to obtain more favorable loan and insurance terms.

The ruling, which has been three months in the making, could have far-reaching implications for Trump's business empire and result in significant financial consequences.

The non-jury trial took place in the Manhattan Civil Supreme Court, and Justice Arthur Engoron is scheduled to deliver the final ruling.

Donald Trump also anticipates hearing in Georgia election fraud case

Trump has not appeared in court in the "hush money" criminal case since his April 2023 arraignment on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

The charges arise from allegations that he authorized payments, including to former adult film star Stormy Daniels, to apparently keep extramarital affairs hidden in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

The MAGA figurehead risks incarceration in the case, as well as three other criminal cases filed against him in Georgia, Florida, and Washington, DC.

Hearings are also scheduled for Thursday and Friday in the Georgia election fraud case against the Republican presidential frontrunner and more than a dozen others, in which Trump is not anticipated to appear.

Mike Roman, a co-defendant of the ex-POTUS in a legal case in Georgia, is planning to call witnesses in his defense, including Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and lead prosecutor Nathan Wade.

The former Trump staffer seeks to either dismiss the charges against him or remove Willis from the case because of her admitted romantic relationship with Wade.

The presidential hopeful and the other defendants in the case have joined Roman's motion to disqualify Willis, claiming that she financially benefited from appointing Wade to the probe. They also allege that the lead prosecutor was paid lucratively.

Willis and Wade admitted in early February that they were in a romantic relationship but claimed that it started after Wade's appointment. They denied that it presented any conflict of interest in the case.

The Fulton County District Attorney has further stated that she hasn't benefited financially from Wade's earnings.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing in all the cases he is facing and claims that they are part of a political witch hunt by President Joe Biden and an elaborate ploy from the political left to take him down.

He has repeatedly criticized the Democratic prosecutors in the cases against him, including Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, James, and Willis.

Internet shows support to Donald Trump amid mounting legal battles

Trump's supporters are resolute to stand beside him, especially now that he is facing multiple legal battles.

One remarked, "No matter how much you guys post, Trump is unstoppable!" Another commented, "Whatever. Trump for the win 2024."

A person claimed, "They will do anything to bring this guy down," while someone else asserted, "Trump 2024. They’ll stop at nothing trying to hurt the only president who said he’d drain the swamp."

"Don't care, still voting for him," noted an ardent follower.
