LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘It Ends With Us’ author Colleen Hoover has recently created a lot of buzz online as it seems she does not want her name associated with Blake Lively.

Her return to Instagram on February 12 came with no pictures of the actress.

Hoover had deactivated her social media page on January 22 amid the legal drama between Lively and Justin Baldoni. But she’s now back and has also removed photos of Baldoni from her account, PEOPLE reported.

Both Lively and Baldoni have starred in the 2024 movie ‘It Ends With Us’ — an adaption of Hoover’s 2016 book of the same name.

Colleen Hoover previously called Blake Lively ‘honest’

The film was released in August and months after it, the ‘Gossip Girl’ star filed a harassment complaint against the 41-year-old actor.

Hoover also came out in her defense and shared on her Instagram Story, as per PEOPLE, “@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.”

But now her online page has no traces of Lively as well as Baldoni.

Instead, the best-selling author has promoted the upcoming adaptation of her 2018 book ‘Verity’ that will feature Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett, and Michael Showalter, as per the Daily Mail.

Blake Lively’s team denied extension by court

Colleen Hoover’s return to Instagram came as Blake Lively and her legal team’s request for an extension to file their amended complaint was denied. They wanted two weeks time but Judge Lewis J Liman only allowed one extra day.

A tipster close to Lively shared on Wednesday, “We are pleased with the Court's ruling, which granted most of the relief we had sought. Adjustments to the parties' scheduling requests are not controversial—they are typical and inevitable in litigation.”

“We have no concerns with filing Ms Lively's amended Complaint on or before February 18. We will be adding additional evidence to the amended complaint,” they added.

Legal expert believes Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s trial is going to be ‘nastier’

Blake Lively and the ‘Jane the Virgin’ actor’s legal fight has been going on for almost two months with a trial expected to begin on March 9, 2026.

In January, legal expert Gregory Doll, a lawyer and partner at Doll Amir & Eley in Los Angeles, shared with PEOPLE, “Ninety-two percent of all civil cases settle, so odds are overwhelmingly that the case will settle.”

But the expert also noted that the case “is very nasty, and I think it's going to get nastier.”

“... It's going to be a very consuming, very difficult, very challenging time for the parties going ahead. I think they both got great lawyers, but they're going to pay a lot of money and it's going to be a lot of emotional turmoil,” Doll added.

Internet wonders what’s exactly happening

Meanwhile, Colleen Hoover’s name has been doing the rounds on the internet lately after her unusual social media activity.

An X user tweeted, “Colleen Hoover deleting Blake Lively off your social media  isn't enough. This is a cop out! You can't just stay out of it, your name is involved, and so are you. YOU NEED TO SPEAK UP FOR JUSTIN BALDONI! How could you so easily stand up for Blake Lively and now 👀👀👀👀 silence.”

Another asked, “Did you notice Colleen Hoover who helped in the humiliation of Justin Baldoni and sided with/ Blake Lively in movie premiere takeover is back on IG with all BL pics scrubbed?”

“Interesting! She has behaved deplorably herself,” one person remarked.

Another asked, “Well, this doesn't bode well for Lively. Is she getting cancelled?”

“WHOA! It Ends With Us Author Colleen Hoover Comes Back Online, but DELETED ALL TRACES of Blake Lively?! Not a good look if she's still Team Blake....” one tweet read.

Another tweet read, “Interesting… wonder what’s going on there.”
