Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez ‘livid’ over Charlize Theron’s criticism of their lavish Venice wedding
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have reportedly been fuming with anger after Charlize Theron slammed their Venice wedding that cost nearly $50 million.
As per a report by the celebrity reporter Rob Shuter, the newlywed couple has now “banned [her] from anything Bezos-adjacent—including yacht weekends, Blue Origin launches, and any future charity galas sponsored by the couple.”

Her brutal words left the Amazon CEO “livid” while his former journalist wife “had to be talked down from firing off an Instagram response.”
The aftermath happened after the South African-American actress had said, “I think we might be the only people who did not get an invite to the Bezos wedding.”
“But that’s OK because they suck and we’re cool,” she mentioned while hosting the fifth annual Block Party for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) on June 28 night.
She then went on to mention the crises that the world is facing currently.

Charlize Theron hosted the fifth annual Block Party for her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) on Saturday night, where she opened up about how, in 2025, “the world feels like it’s burning because it is. Here in Los Angeles, in the US and across the globe, we’re moving backwards fast. Immigration policy has destroyed the lives of families, not criminals.”
She further stated that, “women’s rights are becoming less and less every day; queer and trans lives are increasingly being erased; and gender-based violence is on the rise. This isn’t just policy, it’s personal.”
Rosie O’Donnell calls Jeff Bezos ‘not a nice man’
Charlize Theron was not the only one to call out Bezos and Sanchez’s wedding.
Comedian Rosie O’Donnell shared in a Substack post, “It turned my stomach. Seeing all these billionaires gathering in the gross excess of it all. Is Oprah friends with Jeff Bezos? Really — how is that possible? He treats his employees with disdain. By any metric he is not a nice man.”

Also, Bethenny Frankel said in a video, “OK, I've been diplomatic about the wedding, and I happen to love Lauren Saanchez, and I also adore Amazon, so I am treading lightly. You know me, and you know I have a difficult time holding back when I have an opinion.”
“The invitation, you lost me and as a result, for the people, I'm going to start dating so I can eventually get married and have a wedding and make up for that invitation because that invitation — I could not stay silent,” she joked.
