LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 54-year-old actress and singer, Jennifer Lopez, was 'heartsick and devastated' to cancel her concert tour

Reports suggest she decided to prioritize time with family and friends amid marital challenges with her husband, Ben Affleck.

The internet buzzed with speculation about the reasons behind her tour cancellation, with one prevailing narrative suggesting her music's waning popularity.

However, Daily Mail columnist Alison Boshoff’s conversations with multiple sources indicate that the issue is not a lack of enthusiasm for J-Lo's work but rather troubles in her two-year marriage to Ben Affleck. She canceled the tour in a likely futile effort to salvage their relationship.

People familiar with J-Lo and Affleck, who first dated in 2002, suggest that the core issue in their marriage lies with Affleck himself.

An associate described the 51-year-old as a complicated individual, labeling him 'impossible' and 'very difficult to live with.'

Sources confirm that he moved out of their £48 million marital home in mid-May and is currently residing in a rented house in the suburban LA neighborhood of Brentwood.

While there is no indication of current infidelity, Affleck has a history of womanizing. He was rumored to have had an affair with his children’s nanny, which he denied, and in 2017, he faced accusations of groping a woman on set in 2003.

He later apologized, stating, "I acted inappropriately."

Affleck is also a recovering alcoholic. His first wife, Jennifer Garner, notably took him to rehab in 2018, arriving at his home with a Bible and a lawyer.

Former girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow famously remarked that his ideal woman would be a stripper serving him a beer while wearing a bikini.

According to one of Lopez’s friends, “She has been taking the blame for the end of the tour and the marriage, and the mockery of the world. It is all the opposite of the truth.”

Another emphasized, “Her Achilles heel has always been men. She is the most disciplined, the most hard-working, wonderful person and she really gets her own way in everything at all times — except for where it comes to romance.”

One friend added, “She wants this marriage to work so much that she is willing to make any sacrifice including giving up being J-Lo.”

Another one asserted her firm decision, “She doesn't want to be divorced. She doesn't want to end up like Madonna — on her own at 60. She can't bear the idea of failure.”

He added, “I think you can already see her toning down the way she looks and obviously quitting this tour as well, to try to hang on to the marriage. She lets him smoke, which is huge — she hates smoking and to be around that as a singer is a straight no, but he never gave up when they were dating and married.”

He concluded, “She won't give up this relationship. She's going out there looking as normal as she can. It's sad to see her dimming her shine to try to keep him.”

In public, they are often seen attending sports and school events to support their five children from previous marriages. They typically arrive and leave each venue separately, exchanging polite hugs and cool air kisses.

Both continue to wear their wedding rings, a gesture that appears to be a symbolic, though likely empty, sign of solidarity.
