Kate Cassidy shares emotional message about grief during first holiday season after Liam Payne’s death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy posted a poignant message on her Instagram Story during the first holiday season after the singer’s tragic death at the age of 31.
In her post, Cassidy shared that though the festive season is meant for happiness, it’s different for people who have lost someone close, reported The Mirror.
She wrote, “As the holidays are here, I realize it is a time for happiness and joy, but it is also a time of sadness and grief for so many. Be gentle with those around you this time of year, as the holidays can feel different for everyone.”

“Sending all my love to those carrying grief this holiday. I hope the seasons bring you comfort and peace,” the internet personality noted, before adding, “Wishing everyone a love-filled and healthy holiday season this year.”
This comes after Cassidy in late October revealed that she and the former member of ‘One Direction’ were about to tie the knot before his shocking death in Argentina.
She shared the photo of a note from Payne and said, “A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said, 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged and together forever 444,'” according to The Mirror.
“Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me everywhere I go. Forever yours, Katelyn 444,” she added.
Kate Cassidy finding it difficult to live without Liam Payne
The 25-year-old was left devastated when Liam Payne lost his life on October 16 at the age of 31 after a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.
At the time, she reportedly said, “I wish you could see the huge impact you've had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now. You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone-millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me.”
“You are so incredibly loved. You are because I can't say were-my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did,” she added.
Cassidy further said, “Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into. None of this feels real, and I can't wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I'm struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side.”
