PARIS, FRANCE: Viewers were disappointed with Kelly Clarkson and Peyton Manning as announcers after they joined NBC Olympics' primetime host Mike Tirico.

During the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, July 26, many complained that the singer and ex-NFL champion were hardly shown on the screen and commentated from behind over the performances and introductions of every country’s team.

As per reports, Celine Dion will perform alongside Lady Gaga at the opening ceremony after the two were spotted in the capital earlier this week. Many expect the two to perform a duet for the fans at the historic event.

This Summer Olympics are unique and are planned outdoors on the Seine River for the first time. It was also the first floating ceremony as the performers and athletes traveled down the iconic river on custom-made floats.

Interestingly, iconic rapper Snoop Dogg has also been brought by NBC network as a sportscaster for the Paris Olympics and was also one of the torchbearers at Olympics opening ceremony, reports The Mirror US.

“He’ll explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and visit with the athletes, their friends and families,” the network said.

The biggest sporting event in the world will conclude on Sunday, August 11.
